Even though we were one series short on action we were not short on breaking news and big wins. Christopher Bell comes through with a clutch win to put himself in the playoffs at the moment. We breakdown Christophers big day as well as the outlook at the rest of the regular season for the Cup series. While the playoffs are exciting and put emphasis on wins is crucial is it fair that it could cost two of the more consistent drivers a shot at the championship? Justin Allgaier continued his hot streak and came away with another victory in what was a much more entertaining race than I was planning on seeing. We go over all the top names taken out during the race and the drivers who stepped up and took advantage of it. With the Truck series regular season finale coming up who gets in Kraus or Crafton? I give my take on what the strategy should be for Kraus and his team. And silly season kicked off in a big way as Tyler Reddick took his name off the list as the top free agent for 2024 and scored a huge deal with 23XI racing. I go over that move as well as Ty Dillons future in the sport on this episode of 3 Wide.

This weekend we had racing coming from both Mid-Ohio as well as Atlanta Motor Speedway with popular wins across the board. Parker Kligerman kicked things off hanging on for his first win in 5 years. Then moving down south we had hometown drivers Austin Hill and Chase Elliott sending their fans home happy with a win. Ross Chastain continues to ruffle feathers of his fellow competitors as he was at the center of a multi-car crash as well as another run in with Denny Hamlin. On Saturday, we had a relatively calm Xfinity race as drivers broke apart in single file groups and Austin Hill was able to hang on as Daniel Hemric was the only driver to attempt a charge at him. We discuss how Austin has quietly been putting together quite a string of solid races as well as the driver who finished second to him. Parker Kligerman and Zane Smith put on an excellent battle for the win in the truck series, and we go over Parker cementing his case to be a full-time driver and how Zane showed young drivers can race with respect. With New Hampshire coming up can Aric Almirola reclaim some magic last year and head back to Victory Lane? Or can one driver translate recent Xfinity success into the Cup series? I also give an update on a new platform you can find this podcast as well as update our new YouTube channel!

Another exciting week of racing is complete this time from Pocono Raceway. We had the truck series set their playoff field and I go over the first 3 races and the two drivers that I think will be eliminated but could still surprise us. On the Xfinity side we had an incredible battle between Noah Gragson and Ty Gibbs in what was just a sample of what we will see come playoff time. I also go over Sheldon Creed finally picking up so momentum as well as Jeb Burton and Brandon Brown's struggles the past few weeks and the coming week. Before the drivers could even get to driver intros news broke that Kurt Busch would be out putting Ty Gibbs in the car for his first career spot. We also had Denny and Ross get together again in what was NOT payback, rather not giving an inch between the two drivers. I discuss why this rivalry is the best thing going for the series and how it's even better NASCAR hasn't stepped in. Denny would stay in the headlines as he and Kyle Busch were disqualified after finishing 1st and 2nd giving Chase Elliott the win. We go over what the penalties were as well as Denny and Chase's response. There was so much to talk about we couldn't fit it all in this show so be sure to click the link below to our new YouTube channel on Tuesday night to see what wasn't discussed.
