More and more we are hearing about pastors and ministry leaders that feel like they just don’t fit the mold of what American Church culture expects them to be, expects them to look like, preach like, and even think like. We wanted to make a podcast for ministers dealing with the current social and cultural issues here in the US and the Church. We will look at these things through CSRM’s 3 tier paradigm of Theological Truths, Philosophical Principles, and Methodological Models. Hopefully, to help us all regain perspective and regain some sanity. Support this podcast: www.patreon.com/ministrymisfits

Our podcast helps Christians live a Christ focused life in a world that has become increasingly secular and Religionless. In a world full of lies it is more important than ever that we stay connected to the truth. Jesus Christ and God's Word is that truth. Nickie and I will do our best to help Christians make sense of the news, understand the world around us and avoid the traps that lead us off the narrow path. We will look to keep the content current, focusing on news of the day, how to make sense of the madness in the world, sermons that we are listening to and pass them along. It might be a book or article that we have read that we believe is worth mentioning, any and everything we can think of to help you live a life that is pleasing to God. My wife and I have been married for 17 years, have four children and full-time jobs. We aren't Pastors or theologians, just real people wanting to connect with fellow believers and build a community. We want more then "health and wealth" gospels or "your best life now" mantra's, we want Jesus! If this sounds like you, please subscribe to the channel and drop us a comment, we would love to hear from you! We will be uploading new content Monday thru Saturday. Devotionals Monday thru Friday and our Main big show every Saturday. Hello and welcome to the Friday ReFresh, a Ben and Travis podcast. I’m Ben from Ben and Travis and I have been working as a minister for 23 years and as a counselor for the last 10 years. I recognize that there are a lot of things in our world that impact different people in different ways. Working in counseling I’ve learned that there are a lot more things that can rock our world that I never knew existed. Many of those things are hidden struggles that others may never know about — or at least they don’t know about until something comes along and quite literally “opens up a can” of past trauma or hidden struggles. So I invite you to come along with me on this journey of exploration and understanding through this podcast which offers short episodes and hopefully informational and motivational material to help you as you prepare for the last day of the week. Not every episode will be about a mental health struggle but there will certainly be weeks that are. Sometimes we will just hope to give you a boost as you close out the week. However, there are some rules of engagement here though - some understanding that I want you to have before you agree to go on the journey. 1. Keep An Open Mind - Some of the things we talk about here may be new territory. It may be like one of those movies like Journey to the Center of the Earth where you see things that seem hard to comprehend. I know there were a lot of things that were hard for me to grasp at first and has certainly been hard to relate to others. So think of it like Journey to the Center of Your Soul. 2. It’s an Ever-Changing Landscape - The counseling field is something that seems to change all the time so understand that I may say some things that may be different than what you might have been taught in the past. It may also change as I record these over time. It is also true that various theories of counseling reveal different techniques for dealing with things so I will likely be sharing things from a wide variety of therapeutic mindsets. 3. No Two Experiences are the Same - Just because we share a thought about anxiety or depression doesn’t mean it will apply to every person who hears and so this is certainly not a replacement for good person centered counseling - but you may very well find some helpful tips for various things you may face. So, do you think you are good to start that journey? I hope so. Travis and I hope through this short podcast, along with the weekly Helping, Healing, Humor Podcast and our website to bring a better understanding of mental health to all people but especially to the church. It is a part of us that has been ignored for far too long. I hope that even in this short little podcast to help us have a little more understanding.

Love Worth Finding's purpose is to bring people to Christ and mature them in the faith. This happens primarily through efforts in publishing and broadcasting biblical truth.Love Worth Finding began in 1987, as a response to several requests for tapes of messages by pastor and Bible teacher Adrian Rogers. He relates that "soon the requests began to grow to the point that we knew God was leading us into a wider ministry." As an extension of Dr. Rogers' pulpit ministry Love Worth Finding provided that role and continues today.Dr. Rogers stated, "I believe God wants us to proclaim the message of salvation in the power of the Holy Spirit by every means possible. That’s our commitment at Love Worth Finding."In response to many who are asking, has that purpose changed since the home-going of Dr. Rogers? No, God wants us to continue to proclaim the message of salvation. The messenger may be gone, but the message must continue. Millions still have not heard the precious name of Jesus or know His redeeming grace. So our race is not over. We must still rununtil Jesus comes. If you believe in what God has called LWF to do,we invite you to help us proclaim God's truth. Our prayer is that you will join with us in running the race and in broadcasting the Good News that Jesus Christ is truly the greatest Love worth finding.

God uses stories to help us relate to Him and His truth. While the entire Bible is inspired and applicable to our lives, there tends to be one particular character, parable, or story from its pages that jumps out to us more than the others and impacts our lives in ways that change us forever. Eternal Impact sits down with pastors and those in ministry to explore what part of the Bible most influenced them. These discussions aim to be more substantial than an interview and more conversational than a sermon.
