Wildly Curious is a comedy podcast where science, nature, and curiosity collide. Hosted by Katy Reiss and Laura Fawks Lapole, two wildlife experts with a combined 25+ years of conservation education experience, the show dives into wild animal behaviors, unexpected scientific discoveries, and bizarre natural phenomena. With a knack for breaking down complex topics into fun and digestible insights, Katy and Laura make science accessible for all—while still offering fresh perspectives for seasoned science enthusiasts. Each episode blends humor with real-world science, taking listeners on an engaging journey filled with quirky facts and surprising revelations. Whether you're a curious beginner or a lifelong science lover, this podcast offers a perfect mix of laughs, learning, and the unexpected wonders of the natural world.
This podcast is far from your typical podcast. Beware the faint of heart, and welcome the macabre and the morbid. Each episode will feature a different human victim, whether they succumbed to an animal attack, were murdered by another human, or met their grisly fate in a freak accident. We will learn more about the victim's life and death in each episode, and learn a bit about why or how they were chosen to depart this earthly realm, along with some interesting facts and features about the animals and people that caused these traumatic events, and how we can potentially avoid being in those situations ourselves.

Animals are increasingly at the forefront of research questions – Not as shadows to human stories, or as beings we want to understand biologically, or for purely our benefit – but as beings who have histories, stories, and geographies of their own. Each season is set around themes with each episode unpacking a particular animal turn concept and its significance therein. Join Claudia Hirtenfelder as she delves into some of the most important ideas emerging out of this recent turn in scholarship, thinking, and being.

This is a for-kids-(and adults)-by-kids-(and chickadees) animal podcast. In every regular episode, your host, Devon, and podcast-overthrowal-plotting chickadee co-hosts, Chet and Cap, will dive into all the facts about one species of animal with jokes, fun facts, and quizzes along the way. Every third-ish episode is our game show, Animalia Fake!, in which there are three rounds with four outrageous animal facts; one of those facts is so outrageous it’s an Animalia Fake (it’s not true), and you have to guess which it is.
You can send in questions and episode suggestions to [email protected], and my website is https://kapods.org/animals. So what are you waiting for? Let’s explore this amazing Kingdom: Animalia.
