Just over a decade ago, NYC bred DJ Chopps hit the ground running at the tender age of 15 with his eclectic style and deep-rooted musical knowledge. It’s no wonder his “elders” remarked that “this kid has some chops.” Grabbing the compliment as his title, DJ Chopps exploded his way through the club circuit like a Roman Candle - catching the attention of everyone from MTV to Dom Perignon. For the past five years, the largest “Spring Break” organizers in the country took on Chopps as their resident DJ where he travels to every Spring Break hot spot in and out of the country along with 50,000 of his “closest friends.” But Chopps is never one for all “break” and no work. Pinging across the globe from Singapore to Chicago, Miami to Europe, Chopps is keeping busy rocking crowds of thousands who cannot get enough of him. Charming and stylish, he’s been the DJ of choice for major labels like Armani Exchange and Marc Ecko who took him on as their musical rep for both their fashion lines. Chopps always has his ear to the ground as a music producer as well. Founder and CEO of The Club HeadLiners he and his partner are building their own Open Format Dream Team - a selection of deejays who have to make the critical cut to join this elite group. The Club Headliners have been featured on over 300 radio stations through United Radio Station Network and on Hollywood Hamilton's Top 30 countdown for their world renowned mash-ups. The 3-hour show is heard in over 300 cities on some of the greatest radio stations on the planet. Starting off 2013 with a national television appearance on “Good Morning America” DJ Chopps is showing no signs of burning out. As an in-demand DJ, Chopps has added megastars like Bruno Mars, Lil Jon, Crooklyn Clan, and Three Six Mafia to his musical roster. His television cameos include “Good Day New York,” “MTV Real World,” plus repeat appearances on VH1, FOX 5 and Oxygen Networks. Reality show folks have put Chopps in high-demand mode insisting he spin for private parties celebrating “Real Housewives of NYC” “Jersey Shore” “Sex & The City” movie premier and countless others. For Chopps, the future holds more international traveling and original music production: “To say I’m trying to conquer the world, isn’t an understatement,” he says with smile.
