YOU SOUND LIKE A WHITE GIRL

Well here we go again challenging the social norms and expectations of immigrants ... sadly enough by our own.

In this episode "You Sound Like A White Girl" the ladies sit with author and advocate Julissa Are to talk about her book "You Sound Like A White Girl- The Case For Rejecting Assimilation". You will be challenged to re-examine your definition and understanding of what it means to assimilate.

Liz of course monopolizes the first few minutes while Mari finally gets her chance and is blown away by what she thought she knew - learning so much along the way and Zuly takes it all in.

This is one episode you won't want to miss.

Listen in to see what the ladies have concluded and if you agree. In the meantime if you enjoyed this episode please comment, share, like, rate, and review. Tell all your friends about us. Yes it's only a week since the premier of Season 6 and already shit hit the fan.

So .... Supreme Court rules on 2nd Amendment upholding gun ownership rights within homes on a national basis and striking down NY law limiting guns in public.

As if that wasn't enough ... they overturned Roe V Wade.

The ladies try to make sense of it and explain what they think the motive behind these radical changes are.

Dimelo Linda!!!

Welcome to Episode 18 of season 5

In this episode the ladies are joined by Marcy from Comadreando Pod , Tommy 2 Face and Phresh to discuss the black man's experience when dating a Dominican woman.

The conversation gets spicy when Kevin Samuels' incendiary opinions are brought up. Why won't Phresh date a woman with children? Why does Tommy like all the mamis?

The men have to run defense for a bit but they make valid points in the complications of dating a mother, and the racism that exists between the Black American and Latino culture.

Tune in and make sure to reach out with your thoughts on this conversation.

You can also reach out to our guests by following them on IG @Tommy2Face_ and Phresh322

The ladies also discuss the subject they fear getting canceled over the most ... Trans women in sports. After FINA restricts transgender women from competing at elite level the ladies wonder how will the issue of trans women in sports ever be resolved.

Dimelo Linda!!!

In episode 15 of season 5 the ladies welcome Zahira Kelly-Cabrera to El Salon for a very enlightening conversation about race relations, domestic violence, afro-latininidad, and being a single woman too enlightened to put up with the bullshit of modern day dating.

Also known as Bad Dominicana, Zahira is a sociocultural critic and artist whose focus is analyzing and dismantling dominant power structure from a Latinegra feminist perspective. Through her blog she has educated many on the true history of our enslaved ancestors and how the roots of colonization still permeate through modern day society.

Aside from being an artist, Zahira is also a TedX speaker, a DJ, and a mother. She is the quintessential unapologetic social media activist calling shit out as she sees it. However; in this episode, the ladies not only discuss activism, they also discuss the softer side of things like love, and how difficult finding the right person may be when you have seen it all.

So sit back and grab your cafecito cause this is a good one. If you find value in our conversation please feel free to support Zahira by following her:
