On this episode of The AUXORO Podcast, James Kirchick and Zach record a thrilling two-parter. The first half of the episode focuses on James Kirchick's interview with Armie Hammer titled 'Armie Hammer Breaks His Silence' (published by Air Mail Feb 2023), the first and only interview given by Armie Hammer since he was accused of sexual abuse and cannibalism and blacklisted from Hollywood. We get into evidence that shows how Elizabeth Chambers, Hammer's now ex-wife, colluded with the main accuser Effie, why the "cannibal" accusations are unfounded and ridiculous, the shortcomings and negligence of the 'House Of Hammer' documentary, texts from Hammer's accusers that paint a completely different story than the one portrayed by the mainstream media, a #MeToo NFT minted and sold by one of Hammer's accusers, the origins of Hammer's interest in BDSM, and more.
The second half of the episode covers James Kirchick's book Secret City: The Hidden History Of Gay Washington. We discuss how homosexuality became intertwined with the heightened threat of communism, the purge of gay employees from the federal government, The Lavender Scare, the courageous story of Frank Cameny, the plot to out Reagan as part of a clandestine homosexual cabal, and the throughlines between the cancellation of Armie Hammer and the gay men in Washington who had their lives destroyed.
Guest Bio: James Kirchick is a columnist for Tablet magazine, a writer at large for Air Mail, and author of the instant New York Times bestseller, Secret City: The Hidden History of Gay Washington. A widely published journalist and historian, he has reported from over 40 countries, and his reportage, essays, and reviews have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Atlantic, and Rolling Stone, among many other publications in the United States and around the world.

On to this week’s episode. This time Cole Cuchna, host of the Dissect podcast, sat down with us. Dissect is one of the most popular podcasts out there today. In Cole’s words, “Dissect picks one album per season and analyzes one song per episode, measure by measure, word by word.
Last year, Dissect got picked up by Spotify and Cole know makes a living off of creating the show, which puts him in an elite group of podcasters. But that was far from the case at the start of Dissect. Cole started the first season with Kendrick Lamar in his basement, while caring for a family, and working full time as the creative director of a coffee shop. He somehow managed to spend 20 hours on each episode to get it just right. 20 hours for the love of the podcast, on each episode, everything himself, and he had no idea how big this would become.
I am a regular listener of the Dissect podcast and it was an honor to speak with Cole for over an hour. It is not an exaggeration to say that he is changing the culture. As someone who makes a living off of doing what he loves, Cole is someone that I look up to and I’m grateful that we had this conversation. I hope that this episode can add a little bit to your perspective and without further ado, here is our wide-ranging conversation with Cole Cuchna.

East Mane: Alien Contact, How Weed Enhances Music Making, & The Power of Self-Awareness
In this episode, Zach talks with Daniel and Jeremy of East Mane, a producer/rap duo from Chicago. They discuss aliens, how anxiety towards weed inhibits creativity and approaching music as a means of self-improvement. Jeremy and Daniel also vent their frustration with streaming services, and share why the vulnerability of creation leads them to respect music they don’t like. A disagreement about Avatar: The Last Airbender leads to an unlikely competition, and the duo explains why variety is the result of experience.

This time, we sat down with Will Witt (@TheWillWitt) of PragerU. In their own words, PragerU’s mission is to promote what is true, what is good, what is excellent, and what is noble through digital media. Will Witt runs the Man on The Street Series for Prager U where he asks strangers questions like:
Are The Police Racist?
Can someone be Gay and Republican?
Should Healthcare be free in America?
I very much enjoy Will’s videos and I’m a dedicated listener to the Candace Owens show, also a part of the Prager U Network. Like myself and many others, Will has shaped his values and political ideologies overtime alongside his view of the world. In a time where a loud minority of extremist views on social media can sway the public’s actions, it’s important to voice reasonable opinions and back them up. Will does that interestingly and effectively.
In this conversation, we discuss affirmative action, equal pay for women’s soccer, long-distance relationships, and porn. Not hard to see how those last two fit together. Without further ado, here is our wide-ranging conversation with Will Witt.

On this episode of The AUXORO Podcast, Noah Kahan and I get into how to nail a first date, Noah's fake Wikipedia page, how therapy can be a great tool to better know yourself, Noah's encounters with internet trolls, wisdom from The Office's Michael Scott, and more.
This episode with Noah Kahan was originally released on the podcast back in 2019. I wanted to re-release this conversation because Noah is one of my favorite artists who has exploded within the past year, and also, when I first released this episode I had a much smaller audience than what I have today and I wanted to introduce it to the vast majority of AUXORO listeners who may have missed it. Enjoy.
Guest Bio: Noah Kahan is a singer-songwriter and artist from Strafford, Vermont. His breakout track 'Stick Season' was recently certified platinum.

Drax Project is our guest this week and once again, I am your host Zach of the Auxoro podcast, where speak with music artists, athletes, entrepreneurs, and other interesting humans to explore the story beyond the surface. For those of you who are not familiar with Drax Project, shame on you. Just kidding, but now you have no excuse not to know who these guys are and for good reason because they’ll only be getting bigger. In a few short years, Drax Project went from busking on the streets of Wellington New Zealand to signing to a major label, 300 Entertainment. They actually hung up, accidentally, on Kevin Liles the CEO of 300 entertainment, the first time they got a call from him. What a power move. The first time I get a call from a major podcasting network, I’m gonna hang up on them and demand a max contract. We’ll see how that works out.
Last year, they released the smash hit ‘Woke Up Late,’ which Hailee Steinfeld then hopped on. It currently has nearly 50 million hits on Spotify. The group then made a music video for Woke Up Late featuring YouTube star Liza Koshy and they absolutely killed it.
A couple of months ago, I had the pleasure of seeing Drax Project live at Soho House and was blown away. When they whipped out the saxophone I knew that I had to have them on the podcast. On this episode, Matt and Sam of Drax Project talk how the band came to be, opening for Ed Sheeran, painting houses, how they are inspired by The 1975, and more. For some reason, the connection was a bit spotty at certain points in the podcast. I realize that it’s not the best audio quality which can be frustrating as a listener, but it is top quality conversation. So thank you for sticking with us for this episode. We love you. Without further ado, here is our wide-ranging conversation with Drax Project.

This time, we sat down with real estate and media mogul, Ryan Serhant (@ryanserhant). We were lucky enough to get the opportunity to stop by The Serhant Team’s beautiful office in NYC. For the three of you who are unfamiliar with Ryan Serhant, he is the head of The Serhant Team, the #1 real estate sales team in NY and top five in the US. Ryan is also a best-selling author, and the star and producer of Bravo’s hit show Million Dollar Listing New York, and its spin-off Sell It Like Serhant. He is also a loving husband, a new father, and a guy who knows what it’s like to fail. NYC is a scary place, I can testify to that, and Ryan came here with dreams of becoming a successful actor. Things didn’t work out as planned, and Ryan found himself at rock-bottom in the real estate business after his credit card got declined to try to buy tofu and yogurt. Since then, Ryan Serhant has carved a massive lane for himself not only as the best real estate broker on the planet but also as a social media sensation. And if you don’t believe in the power of YouTube, Ryan’s team just sold a $13 million dollar property off of a vlog.
In this conversation, Ryan opens up about his ‘Balls in the Air’ approach from his book Sell It Like Serhant, vocal warmups, boarding a last-second plane to Paris to close a deal with Mr. X, intermittent fasting, and more. Even if you have no experience in real estate, or maybe you aren’t familiar with Ryan Serhant yet, I encourage you to listen to the entirety of this episode. Ryan’s been through it, and he can sell the crap out of anything. He also offers a lot of great insight that can be applied to any aspect of life, not just real estate. Whether you’re listening to this podcast and you have everything figured out, or maybe you have no idea what the hell you’re doing, there’s something in here for you. So without further ado, here is our wide-ranging conversation with Ryan Serhant.

On this episode of The AUXORO Podcast, Alette Smeulers and Zach discuss the perpetrators of mass atrocities and the types of people who commit acts of mass violence, the role that Adolf Eichmann played within the Nazi regime, what makes someone evil or if "evil" even exists, the acts of violence committed on both sides of the Israel-Hamas War, whether or not Donald Trump fits the profile of a perpetrator, free will and the power of the choices we make, and more.
Guest bio: Alette Smeulers is a professor of international crimes at the University of Groningen and the author of 'Perpetrators of Mass Atrocities: Terribly and Terrifyingly Normal?' The book explores the perpetrators of mass atrocities such as war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and terrorism, and examines questions of why people kill and torture and how mass atrocities occur. Alette is also the host of the podcast 'Terribly & Terrifyingly Normal' where she explores many of the same topics explored in the book with other well-known scholars in the field.
