Tell us about yourself – what is your background?

I'm a modern day renaissance man. Besides my food experience I have also been a reporter, a paralegal, military policeman, a non-profit board member, and more ! Food has always been interwoven through all these things. So my perspectives on food or anything else can come from quite afew directions. I am also a member of The Podcast Academy, which is helping me come up to speed on the world of podcasting fast !

Why did you get into podcasting?

I was in the process of starting an online cooking school to spread my love and knowledge of food. My oldest grandson, who already had his own podcast convinced me that a podcast would be a better, easier way to accomplish my goals. Getting to spend quality time with him as he enters adulthood is a nice bonus though.

How did the idea for the show come about?

It evolved from my plans to start the online cooking school I talked about in the last question.

What do you hope listeners take from the show?

A better more enjoyable relationship with food.

What's been the biggest challenge for you?

To balance recording, promotion, guest recruitment and all the other tasks involved. I love my podcast, and podcasting but I have a life !

The best way at the moment is to download our episodes, rate our episodes, and share our episodes.

Any future plans that you'd like to share?

I am working most right now at expanding the range of guests that we interview each week. Content quality is mission 1 for me right now.
