The Power of Perspective: Part One - A conversation with MechaniGirl (Cajsa Lindberg)
Zapgirl and the Podcast
07/30/19 • 20 min
Hi there...
THANKYOU for joining me for Episode 5 of Zapgirl and the Podcast. Seriously excited to share this conversation I had recently with one fabulous super human. Her name is Cajsa Lindberg, from Stockholm, Sweden and she lives with Type One Diabetes. She's also the President of the Swedish Diabetes Association (and is the youngest person to hold that office). She does a lot of wonderful things, so I encourage you to listen in.
This episode will bring you courage to tackle the things in front of you... no matter what they are. Empower yourself to change your perspective.
Oh... and this is a two-part episode, so PLEASE be sure to listen to the next episode to really embrace the full picture of what an amazing journey this talented, caring, strong, Warrior Woman has taken.
Click here to learn more about how Cajsa has chosen to give back... to Live On, Give On, and Dream On.
... and as promised, pictures from our Hawaiian Adventure!
Thank you, again, for tuning in. I'd be honored if you subscribed and shared this podcast. I'd love to hear from you, too! If you have an idea for the show, please send it to me!
With Gratitude,
Carrie

And if you haven't heard our last episode yet, stop what you're doing and (please) check it out.
Many thanks to the Absolutely Mindy Show, Mindy and Producer Tori! If you have Sirius XM and you have kids, this is a MUST for your morning commute! https://www.siriusxm.com/kidsplacelive

THANKYOU for joining me for this special episode of Zapgirl and the Podcast!!!
It's Earl Bakken's 96th Birthday!
You might be saying, "Earl Who???" Well... here's a little about him. I'm lucky enough to have met him and am grateful for all of his extraordinary contributions to humanity. He gave selflessly, encouraging others towards greatness.
Susan shares her story of starting out as an EMT and how she came to work along side one of the greatest minds in medical technology. She talks about their adventures together while helping to create one of the most innovative ideas in health care for the Big Island of Hawaii.
I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Bakken shortly after his 94th Birthday. I profusely thanked him for all he's done for me and for so many others around the world.
He was a real-life Super Hero.
Thank you, again, for tuning in. I'd be honored if you subscribed and shared this podcast. I'd love to hear from you, too! If you have an idea for the show, please send it to me!

THANKYOU for joining me for Episode 6 of Zapgirl and the Podcast!!!
Have you ever had a conversation with an Olympian where they tell you what their secret was to winning an Olympic Medal?? I was lucky enough to do just that recently and I'm thrilled to share my conversation with Olympic Super Hero, Paul Wylie. He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his lovely wife, Kate, and their three amazing kids.
Paul won the Silver Medal for the USA in Mens Figure Skating at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France. The thing is though, he was the underdog... but he focused his energy and opened himself up to the possibility of actually winning!
He talks about how he put himself in a grateful state of mind, even when it doesn't come naturally... sharing his process on how to accomplish what you set out to do.
Oh... and this is a two-part episode, so PLEASE be sure to listen to the next episode to really embrace the full picture of Paul's professional and personal journey of resilience.
Thank you, again, for tuning in. I'd be honored if you subscribed and shared this podcast. I'd love to hear from you, too! If you have an idea for the show, please send it to me!
With Gratitude,
Carrie ❤️⚡️

Episode 4, y'all! (I have to say that... I live in the South.)
Thank you, thank you, THANKYOU for tuning in to this new episode!
Super lucky to have this special guest with me in the Studio today. He offers a perspective that may be beneficial to others who know of, live with, or assist a person who has an implanted medical device... or rather something "extra".
...aaaand, in the world of living-with-an-implanted-medical-device-that-your-life-depends-on, it's a milestone anniversary of a day for me today, July 9th, 2019. As of the writing of this, I'm 10 years shock free from my ICD!!! 🙌
Feel free to reach out and let me know what you think of this episode or the Podcast in general. Let me know if there's a topic you'd like to hear more about. I'd love to hear from you!!! ❤️⚡️
Thank you, again...
Enjoy!

Zapgirl's Got a Podcast!
Zapgirl and the Podcast

Firstly, THANKYOU for even arriving here to listen to this...
I'm so excited to tell you I have a Podcast!
I've been thinking about starting a podcast for a while, but have found 1,000 other things to take care of instead of sitting down and just going for it.
After hearing about PodX Nashville, I thought attending might give me insight, tips, and tricks on how to's for my podcast. After I arrived, I saw that Netflix had set up a free studio for all attendees to record their own podcast episode.
This was it.
I was out of excuses. I signed up without hesitation and, 30 minutes later, walked away with my first recorded episode. I was nervous (not sure why), but soooo happy that I just went for it.
With Zapgirl's Podcast, you'll hear about life-saving, life-living, and life-giving stories. It'll be as raw and organic as I can make it. (Confession: I'm a perfectionist and will have to try REEEEALLLY hard not to edit too much)
Do you have a story about a time where you were hesitant to start something you'd always wanted to do, and finally did? I'd love to hear your experience.
Send me a message through my site or any of my social channels...
Sending you all the love from my enlarged heart,
Carrie
