We reached the milestone of 200 episodes of this podcast smack in the middle of a series and smack in the middle of what feels like eternal international upheaval. I want to mark both of these vastly different moments in time with one theme: Inhabiting truth; Embodying your word; What you do matters.

hi beauties,so happy to be here together again.in today's episode, i'm talking with author Karan Bajaj.karan's debut novel The Yoga of Max's Discontent will be be published by Random House on May 3rd' 2016. The book, called "The greatest adventure of our Generation" by The Daily Telegraph was inspired by Karan's one year sabbatical traveling from Europe to India by road and learning yoga and meditation in the Himalayas.

Karan has also worked in senior executive roles at companies like Procter & Gamble and the Boston Consulting Group and was named among Ad Age's "Top 40 Under 40 executives" in the US.

Hi Gorgeous,

SO happy you are here.

& So happy to be back with another 5-Pose Practice! Oftentimes, what keeps me (& students, from what I hear) from the mat is the belief that in order for the practice to be real/ worth it/ enough, it must be a 90-minute sweat-fest. Not so, in my own very real experience. The truth is, one pose, one quality breath, one well-intentioned word is enough to feed your practice. Your practice does not need to be long or complicated, you just have to do it.

The 5-pose practice offers an opportunity to enjoy a complete movement (asana) practice in about 20-30 minutes. If you do not have time to do all five postures at once, split them up throughout the day. If you have a little more time, see where these five shapes lead you. Practice the poses, listen to the feedback your body gives you and proceed accordingly.

This is the practice: learning how to listen, listening and acting from that place.
