Yeah-Uh-Huh

We spent last Saturday with Rett talking about Frank and Dweezil Zappa, MTS Management, Weird Al and north Florida legends Lyndard Skynard and Tom Petty. His upcoming album is "Around The Bend", quite literally, and we took a pretty deep dive behind the whiskey-soaked concepts driving songs like "New Year's Day", "Sleep it Off" and "Dead and Buried". The album drops this spring, but here you are privy to three full tracks from this smorgasboard of singer-song writer delights a full two to three months before the online launch party! On top of all this, it got real surreal for a minute just after the traditional ad break. Rett came to play in the chat lab, complete with Peter Parker and Clark Kent references. Oh, and Regan has graduated to Waffles!

Note: This is our first episode with our new, original intro music by our good friends David T. and Mojo 3!

Yeah Uh Huh Episode 42 - "I Don't Want to Turn 3" with Gramps Jeffrey

After a career as an executive in the successful "Everything's A Dollar" retail chain, Gramps Jeffrey was inspired to take a turn at writing a children's book due to his experiences with his own 6 grandchildren. Written during the quiet solitude of the pandemic, "I Don't Want to Turn 3" is based in a true story. Names have been changed to protect the precocious, but it is the story of Justin and a very bad habit he had developed during his terrible two's. We all come to verious moral and ethical crossroads in our lives, and the story explores one of those rites of passage most all of us are forced to confront very early in life. We will not disclose the ending, but you and your own kids and grandkids are sure to appreciate it's lesson.

Note: Yeah Uh Huh does not endorse Grand Theft Auto, and any confession to crimes that may or may not have been committed approximately 45 years ago are covered by the Statute of Limitations of our state and are not admissable in court :).

YUH 44 - John Badger from The Mercury Theatre Podcast

The Mercury Theatre Podcast brings back the days of yesteryeear with a large cast of talented voice actors recruited from around the web to deliver weekly anthlogy plays. The mastermind behind this creative venture is John Badger, a latter day Orson Welles who writes most of the scripts and pre and post production tasks. Lisa, Aaron and I listened to quite a few from the anthology series and were particularly entertained by the shows about the Wright Brothers and The Denver Airport, in addition to the clever mock commercials peppered there in. Each episode of The Mercury Theatre podcast is between 25 to 30 minutes long, or only a fraction of the 30-plus hours John commits a week to to pre and post production. Our Spotify video this week includes of our cagy feline friend Solomon and lots of random pyro! So, you will not want to miss the visuals :).

Note: This episode is dedicated to my beautiful sister Brenda, who recently passed at the age of 62 - Phil
