You will discover proven and practical ideas you can immediately apply in all areas of your business and personal life, so you can achieve your goals in the time frames you desire. Wouldn’t it be great if our ‘good intentions’ worked the way that we think they should? Not even enthusiasm guarantees positive results. How Believing in Yourself Can Help You Grow Your Business

Work Life Balance Podcast: Business | Productivity | Results

What can give you the “power” to succeed? Belief. Belief in yourself. Belief in your business model. Belief that you have the skills and experience, and tenacity to propel your business products and/or services forward and achieve your dream of even greater success. Yes, you need: 1. Resources 2. Connections 3. And Maybe Even a Little Bit of “Luck” Those tools are ideal tools in your toolbox of entrepreneurship, but even with all of those, you still need to believe that you can... and then you will! One of the biggest differences between successful people and people who struggle is that those who are successful, believed that they were going to be a success and they moved toward goals to make it happen. How can you believe in yourself even more? Let’s explore 6 concepts that can help you. 1. Work on your self-confidence. Self-confidence goes a long way toward your achieving the goals you’ve set for yourself. If you don’t have confidence in who you are and what you do, you will be set adrift at the first sign of trouble. As an entrepreneur you will be faced with a myriad of challenges, and you need to believe in yourself enough to know you can navigate the rocky water. 2. Why would anyone else believe in you if you don’t believe in yourself? There really is no reason, right? If you can’t look at yourself in the mirror and know that you can be a success, you won’t be able to project that belief onto a potential client. That potential client will sense your self-doubt and in turn will worry about tying his or her business to your goods or services. 3. When you believe in yourself you have removed an obstacle from your path. Belief in yourself is very powerful and helps you win and succeed. 4. When you believe in yourself your positive self-talk and your positive attitude will feed upon itself. Your belief in yourself will help you project a winning attitude into every conversation you have with a potential client and with your current clients. 5. Your belief in the project in front of you will motivate you to action. If you’re frozen in place because you’re not sure if what you’re trying to do will “work,” you will find and make excuses to procrastinate. A strong belief in what you’re doing will have you jumping up to take immediate action and that action will spur further action. 6. You know that even if you fail, it’s a part of the process. You also know that failure is a temporary setback. When you believe in what you’re doing and you believe in yourself, that will get you back to the drawing board. Your “failure” is nothing more than an experiment that needs to be honed and reworked. Are you looking for ways to boost your self-belief? Let me share 3 steps to help you: 1. Visualize your success. When you can see that what you’re shooting for is possible and you have visualized the outcome, you will fulfill your belief that you CAN do it. 2. Believe you can. When you tell yourself, “I believe in myself. I believe in my project. I believe I can succeed.” You’re feeding your self-confidence and your belief will keep you strong in the face of naysayers. 3. Act as though you’ve already achieved your goal. When you act as though you have already met a goal and have been a success, you will then believe that anything is possible! A belief in yourself is a belief that what you are visualizing is possible. For example, if you “believe you can fly to the moon” then it doesn’t happen, you lose faith in yourself. You have to do the activities that have the highest probability to get the results and outcome you want. When you’re working on your beliefs you need to have realistic beliefs; believe that you can make a sale, upsell a client, and get the mother lode of great referrals from all your great clients. Set realistic expectations then put your personal beliefs into play. Where do you see yourself in one year, five years, ten years? Write down where you see yourself. Write down what you need to do to meet those dreams. What do you need to do to help those dreams become a reality? When you write down action steps, you can then take action. If you don’t move forward and don’t take action you will get, and stay, stuck, or move a lot slower than you desire. One of the reasons people don’t reach their goals or achieve their dreams is that they procrastinate. They don’t know what steps to take first, so they don’t take any steps. They sink into a depression because they’re not moving forward, they feel their lives are passing them by and their dreams remain that – dreams, not reality. Do you believe in yourself? If you don’t, why not? Past failures? Lack of motivation or lack of experience necessary for the task or goal at hand? What actions can you take to begin to believe in yourself and experience success after success after success? 10 No-Cost, Low-Cost Ways to Market Your Business

Work Life Balance Podcast: Business | Productivity | Results

play

Great marketing goes beyond traditional marketing strategies. We’re entering a whole new era of online and offline marketing that allow you to market one-to-many for the best results. You don’t need expensive marketing resources to produce great results - here’s where you can get creative and have fun! Here are 10 No-Cost and Low-Cost Ways to Market Your Businesses. Tip #1: Reach Out To Strategic Partners Strategic Partners are a complement (not competition) to your business (as your business is to theirs). Provide an Ideal Client Description and ask if they know someone who is an ideal fit. If they do know someone who would benefit from working with you, ask them to pass along your contact information to the prospect. (Asking for the prospect’s contact information - and contacting them directly - may not always be appropriate. Follow the Strategic Partner’s client privacy policy before contacting the prospect.) Last but not least - return the favor. Tip #2: Develop Joint-Venture Projects Joint-Ventures are gaining popularity as we find (in a challenging economy) it’s not only more effective, but sometimes necessary, to pool resources together. This marketing strategy accomplishes two goals: 1) Gets your business in front of a new market and 2) Allows opportunities for new or creative products or services you may have previously been unable to provide. *Choose Joint-Venture Partners wisely... once a partnership is formed, reputations will inevitably be tied to one another. Tip #3: Build a Community The power of the community deeply serves us, as we continue to recover from economic hardship. Create an in-person or virtual community where like-minded business owners can meet once a week to discuss marketing strategies that work or brainstorm new and innovative ways to attract ideal clients. Use your business brand or personal philosophy as an anchor to the community and you’ll be providing what no one else can. Tip #4: Update Client Success Stories You may have client testimonials, but do you have updated their success stories? Contact clients who have worked with you and ask them to provide their latest success story by specifically tying at least one piece of their success to something they learned or were provided by your product, program, or service. The greater the success story - the greater the value that directly ties back to your business. Promote the updated testimonials and remember to put them on your website. Tip #5: Hold an Open House In-person networking is powerful! Host a lunch, happy hour or networking meeting at your home or office. Invite a small group of key people who can help you spread the word about an upcoming program/event or time-sensitive promotion. (“Key” people are colleagues, partners, friends, associates who have direct connections to your ideal clients.) You may want to consider asking these key people to bring other people who they think could benefit from your product or services to meet you in person. Tip #6: Leverage Your Resources Every aspect of your business from your voice mail to in-person networking should be highlighting reasons why people should be working with you. Share client success stories and current promotions year-round on/in/at: your website | outgoing voicemail message | email footer | social networking accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) | printed marketing materials | networking events | seminars and live events | business cards | articles | etc. Tip #6: Leverage The Internet While in-person networking remains one of the most powerful ways to connect with prospective clients, the leveraging power of the internet is undeniable. Thanks to the internet it is possible for you to transform your marketing plan from a one-to-one approach to one-to-many. Article marketing and social networking are just two powerful examples of how to market one-to-many online. Tip #8: Blog for Business A blog is an essential part of your website’s ability to attract and keep the attention of your ideal prospects. Although the intention is to provide valuable information, you’re actually doing much more than that: you’re providing a valuable resource that boosts the Know, Like, Trust Factor of your clients - inspiring them to work with you. Take existing content from articles, podcasts, videos, etc. to create your blog posts. Your assistant can do this for you and post them on a regular basis so you don’t have to spend a lot of time doing it yourself. Tip #9: Develop a Cross-Promotion Partnership Ask for help! Contact associates, colleagues and other high-quality contacts and offer to promote one of their upcoming events or program launches. Be sure their offer is a complement, not competition, to something you currently offer. (Offer a referral fee for added incentive!) Only then, ask them to return the favor, if they haven’t already offered. Tip #10: Create Consistent Communication Creating a weekly e-newsletter is one of the easiest methods for creating consistent c...

Work Life Balance Podcast: Business | Productivity | Results - The Quality of Life Enhancer™ Exercise

The Quality of Life Enhancer™ Exercise

Work Life Balance Podcast: Business | Productivity | Results

Today we are going to talk about a great tool called The Quality of Life (QOL) Enhancer Exercise. Almost everyone has lamented, at one time or another, about not having enough time in the day. Have you ever said or thought, “I wish I had more time?”, “If I had more time, I would _____.”, “If there were a few more hours in this day, I could _____.” Most of us, at some time or another, have probably thought or said this to ourselves and heard others say something like this too. The truth is, even if we had five extra hours each day, we would probably still misuse the time and bemoan our inability to finish everything with which we task ourselves. The Quality of Life EnhancerTM Exercise is a powerful tool. The through-provoking and fun exercise is based on two principles: 1. The more we can align our behavior with our core values (what’s important to us), the happier, more satisfied, and fulfilled we’ll be with our lives. 2. The more we delegate the tasks that are less important, the more time we have for what’s more important. So often we make choices about how we’ll spend our time unconsciously, and this unique exercise is designed to help you make conscious choices. Roy Disney once said, “When your values are clear, your decisions are easy.” When your values are clear and you know what you need to do to fulfill them—and you realize there are only a finite number of hours in the day—the decision to delegate what you can is much easier to make. The QOL Enhancer Exercise is a gift you give your clients, prospects and strategic alliances, centers of influence, friends, and associates. It is a gift of focus and clarity, and it can even help you and the people you share this exercise with to visualize things differently in their life. I believe it is one of the most powerful exercises and it is not utilized enough. When we use this tool, we can have a huge impact on your relationships and your life, not to mention when you share it with others. The exercise starts with the question, What is more important in life than money? Another way to you may think of it is: What do you wish you had more time to do? Put that item/activity in the column headed Life Quality (it will be on the left side of the page). For example, it can be things like Being Healthy, Being Spiritual, Having Fun, Time with Family, Charity, etc. The fact is that there are only 168 hours in the week. The QOL Exercise allows people to think about what they truly would like to do with their time. It helps us focus on those important things and delegate the rest. Imagine for a minute-- how different your life would be when you do some of the items you wrote down on this exercise. It has a huge benefit to you and to others when you work on Quality Of Life items. Share this exercise with as many people as you can. You’ll find an online complementary Quality of Life EnhancerTM Exercise at www.AccountabiltyCoach.com that you can easily complete. Feel free to go online and share this exercise with your friends, associates, and clients. Update your Quality of Life EnhancerTM frequently and measure your progress. Today we are going to talk about The Wheel of Life and how it can help you put into perspective how balanced your life is now, and how using The Wheel of Life periodically will help you make progress and keep on track to continuing your journey for total life balance. The Wheel of Life is what I use as a starting point for the goal-setting process. The Wheel of Life helps you focus on the activities required to achieve your goals and ultimately obtain what is truly important to you in life. The goal of the exercise is to help you create a wheel of life that is as round as possible; therefore, creating total balance in your life. When the wheel is out of balance, life is like a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Your professional life is up, but your romantic life is down. A person could be in excellent physical health, but suffering from their poor relationships with family and friends. These constant ups and downs take a toll on a person’s overall quality of life. The Wheel of Life I use has 8 areas to it and that you continually focus on. 1. Fitness and Health 2. Family & Friends 3. Romance/S.O. / Partner 4. Money 5. Career 6. Fun & Recreation 7. Spiritual Development/Personal Growth 8. Physical Environment People begin by rating their current level of satisfaction for each of the 8 areas of the wheel. They rate each area on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the very best and 1 being dismal. Rating each area of life gives each person a better perspective of how round their wheel actually is today. You want to visualize each area of your life as a perfect 10 and answer the question, “What would I be doing in each area of my life if that area was ideal?” The things that you visualize when you picture your life as a perfect 10 are, in a way, your goals. After all, these are things that you see in your life when you envision life as ideal. So how do you set out to achieve this ideal lifestyle you’ve envisioned? To complete your Wheel of Life and determine how round your wheel is today, go to www.AccountablityCoach.com. This is complimentary resource available to everyone. Feel free to share this exercise with others and update it as often as you like. Begin enjoying the experience of an even greater life quality and total life balance Go to http://www.accountabilitycoach.com/landing/ and get 3 FREE gifts including a special report on 10 Power Tips for Getting Focused, Organized, and Achieving Your Goals Now. There comes a time when you don’t feel like working anymore. It happens to everyone, you are certainly not an exception. Rather, it would be surprising if you haven’t felt that way about a task or project till now. As an entrepreneur, you would have worked hard to get your business to a level where it is successful and stable. Yet, procrastination can tempt you at any time. Particularly if it is a task you don’t like doing, there is a bigger chance you would be enticed towards procrastination.

The general perception among businesspeople is that procrastination is bad. They expect their employees to be productive throughout, not wasting even a single minute while they are at work. However, there is a limit to how much work a person can do at once without getting bored or tired. If they have reached the tipping point, continuing to work beyond that time would actually lead to a drop in quality of performance and prove to be counterproductive.

The million-dollar question is whether procrastination is always bad.

So, how do you avoid falling in the trap? Let’s talk about 5 practical tips which will help you pass up procrastination, or at least procrastinate on less important activities.

Cyberattacks are something you may not think about until it happens to you. But before that happens, it’s crucial to understand why every company, even yours, needs to have a cybersecurity strategy in place.

You may not think that your industry or company are susceptible to attacks, but anyone’s fair game. Whether the intention is to hack into your systems and steal private information, or cause financial damage to your business by taking it offline, there are many reasons for people to launch a cyberattack against you.

Let me share with you five reasons why your business needs cybersecurity.

1. Protect Proprietary Company Data

2. Protect Proprietary Client Data

3. Protect Your Company’s Financial Assets

4. Prevent Costly Interruptions to Your Business

5. Protect Your Reputation

These are just some of the reasons, and some pretty costly ones, why you should implement a cybersecurity strategy in your business. Protect your own and client data, prevent costly interruptions, and make sure your reputation stays clear of any cyberattacks that could harm not only your existing, but also future business as well.

If you would like to make more money and work less, so you can ultimately enjoy having your ideal business and ideal life, reach out to me today to schedule your complimentary consultation.

5 Ways to Have a ‘Winning’ Attitude

Having a winning attitude is essential to being successful. Theodore Roosevelt once said ‘Believe YOU CAN and you are half way there’. A lot of times, we end up defeating ourselves before we begin by having a negative outlook on what is going on. We sometimes tend to look at opportunities and only see roadblocks, or see only a glass that is ‘half empty’ as opposed to ‘half full’.

Having a ‘winning attitude’ is all about how we view the world around us. It can be very easy to only see problems when we face hard times and new challenges, and yet the most successful people in the world have always shown that outlook plays a huge part in how successful you are.

So how can you have a winning attitude, even in the face of adversity? Well, let’s explore 5 tips that might point you in the right direction. Following these 5 tips will get you well on your way to defeating that negative frame of mind that threatens to dampen your spirits and discourage you when times get tough.

What you can imagine is what your potential is and what your possibilities are. Set your intention and choose to live the life you want. Many billionaires do imagination work every day. They imagine what they want for a few minutes every single day as a consistent habit. You can do the exact same thing to help you accelerate your results in business and in life.

Visualization is a way of tapping into the amazing power of the mind, so that you can train your brain to help you create the kind of life you want.
