Our discipleship series continues today with a discussion on coordinating childcare.
I’ve got a few ideas to help you with common childcare struggles including recruiting help and paying for childcare.

Is there going to be childcare? It’s a question I wish we could always answer with a resounding “yes!” However, if you’ve ever been tasked with coordinating childcare for your women’s Bible study or women’s ministry events, you know just how much work is required behind the scenes to provide childcare.

Maybe you’ve encountered some of these childcare issues:

  • Not enough volunteers (or paid staff) to cover every event.
  • Most of your volunteers are women, so when they serve they miss the event.
  • Your budget limits the number of times you can offer childcare.
  • There aren’t enough trained workers (with background checks) to serve at all of your events.

Offering childcare can be complicated, but it’s a necessity for many of the women in your church - without it, they may not be able to attend your Bible study or event.
Listen in or read the show notes for solutions to your childcare struggles.

Women's Ministry Toolbox Podcast - EP 49: Creative Christmas Event Ideas for Your Women's Ministry
play

08/10/22 • 10 min

Need some help planning your women's ministry Christmas event?
This episode is packed with creative Christmas event ideas for your women's ministry.
There’s a good chance your women’s ministry team does the same type of Christmas event year and after year. Maybe you host a dinner with hostesses decorating the tables, maybe you play games and eat a meal together, or maybe you do a gift or ornament exchange.
None of those are bad ideas, but perhaps it’s time to change things up a bit.
Consider these questions:
•Is your team running out of steam after restarting your women’s ministry post-covid?
•Could you reach women you haven’t in years past by doing something different?
•Could pressing pausing, even just for a year, allow your women to experience something new and fresh that would point their hearts to Christ this Christmas season?
•Does God want to do something new through your women and your team?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, I’ve got some ideas for you!
I pray as I share the following ideas with you that God will make His plans for your women clear.
Listen in to hear four creative event concepts (each one packed with specific ideas).

Women's Ministry Toolbox Podcast - EP 39: Dividing Women into Groups for Bible Study and Women's Ministry Events
play

02/23/22 • 14 min

Today we’re tackling a hot-button topic – dividing women into groups for Bible study, retreats, and women’s ministry events.
I’ll take you step-by-step through the process I’ve used as well as share some ideas for working through any resistance.
If your team is strongly against dividing women into groups, I want to ask you to please listen with an open mind through this podcast episode. You may discover another perspective worth considering.
As a women’s ministry leader, you’ll have many opportunities to divide your women into groups.
Whether it’s for Bible study or a women’s ministry event, relationships blossom when women are seated in circles and not rows.
If left to select their own seats, women are most likely to sit with people they already know. Their table may be filled with other women in the same season of life, around the same age, or even from the same small group. It can be awkward and uncomfortable to sit with people we don’t know well or don’t know at all. But what if we’re missing out by always sitting with the same people?
Quote: "If you’re on one of the many women’s ministry teams that’s been praying for a ministry that is truly multi-generational, assigning women to groups will help your women experience the blessings of sitting at a table with older and younger women."Listen in or read the transcript here for my process on dividing women into groups.
