Working with the cocoon and the chrysalis
Explicit content warning
11/30/23 • 64 min
Following the voted majority of a nature-based episode, I kept coming back to this idea of cocooning and going within, especially in this time. Winter naturally leads to cocooning, incubating, and insulating.
Although it is often talked about in a much more consumer or home-decor focus today, winter invites a retreat into the internal and the darkness. At the same time, winter allows the process of transformation to occur by initiating the death-cycles, the breakdowns, and the barrenness.
In this episode, we discuss the beautiful life-cycle of the butterfly, the process of self-metamorphosis, the journey of spiritual migration, and the unseen magick in the chrysalis.

I fill my cup with a mindful give and take (November forecast)
Hello dear listener, it is time for the monthly forecast for November. As I mention in the end of the episode, this forecast is the absolute tits. It is so straightforward, simple even, and yet provides so much depth and deep work to do for this month.
The monthly cards for this month are: 4 of Pentacles reversed and Antelope and Wheat (Nourishment). Here are the main invitations with these cards:
Some of the themes in this episode:
- Taking and claiming ownership in a space of support, protection, and even sacrifice
- a reminder that all things are complex, layered, and need a deeper understanding and perspective
- Antelope: associated with community. Large herds work together to detect predators, locate food, care for young and old. The group supports the thriving of each individual.
- Wheat: Ancient symbol of prosperity, and longevity. Easy to grow- staple crop for abundance and endurance
- Questions with this cards:
- What or who makes me feel nourished?
- What fills my proverbial cup?
- Questions with this cards:
We go into these and many other topics and invitations. The monthly forecast with all three cards is already out on Patreon. If you would like to get the full forecast, plus other content and goodies, click the link to become a patron.
