WJBR INTERNET RADIO is an internet radio broadcasting station which is licensed via Live 365 and covers listeners in the USA (through SoundExchange, ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC) In Canada through (SOCAN and Re-Sound) and the UK through ( PPL and PRS for Music) Many fans were first wowed by his appearance in Madonna’s most famous video “Like a Prayer,” but more fans flocked to the theaters to see him in the lead role of Disney’s blockbuster hit “Cool Runnings.” He soon graced many excellent storylines such as New Line’s urban sports drama “Above the Rim,” Tri-Star’s action hit “Cliffhanger,” 20th Fox’ hit “Waiting to Exhale,” Columbia Picts “Ali,” the NAACP Best Picture Award-winning “Once Upon A time When We Were Colored” and the HBO original series “Oz.” Leon continued to shine in musical roles such as Robert Townsend’s “The Five Heartbeats” (voted the #1 African American film by AOL), the Emmy Winning mini-series “The Temptations,” as lead singer, David Ruffin and the authorized biography of “Little Richard” both earning him NAACP Best Actor nominations. Rain Pryor, daughter of the legendary comedian Richard Pryor is an amazing artist who began her career as an actress in the hit sitcom "Head of the Class" which also starred Robin Givens. Rain also had a recurring role in the Showtime Series "Rude Awakening" where she portrayed a lesbian drug addict. Rain has also made appearances on various other shows, including talk shows and guest spots in series. She is also a comedian (not surprisingly) as well as a producer and writer. She is an Ambassodor for MS and a Mother. She is currently starring in the one woman show she wrote and produced, "Fried Chicken and Latkes", and we are blessed to have her as our special guest on Brunch In The Basement With JaVonne.

We are joined today by the lovely Dr. Stacye Branche', Author of the new book "Relationships and the Thenings We Don't Talk About". Not only is she an author, but she is also a motivational speaker, actress, songwriter and singer. With a vocal style borne through a study of the emotional nuances of Minnie Riperton, Dinah Washington and Ella Fitzgerald, Branché has combined that knowledge with the influence and inflections of her work with Stevie Wonder, Herb Alpert and The Emotions to bring her distinctive style full circle. In essence, she has found her “truth.” Can't Wait!

This is the first show of the new year! We survived 2019 and are moving into the beginning of a new decade with new vision. If you can see it, you can be it.
