About a year ago, I watched a documentary on Netflix called Seven Days Out, and was captivated by one of the episodes featuring a restaurateur named Will Guidara. Well, this week, Will is here, and he joins me to talk about trust, loyalty, hard conversations, and why adversity is a terrible thing to waste. Will is the former co-owner of Eleven Madison Park in New York City, which received four stars from the New York Times, earned three Michelin stars, and was named the number-one restaurant in the world. Add to that Will is married to renowned pastry chef, Christina Tosi, also seen on Netflix's Chef's Table. This conversation was one of my favorites this year, so I'm excited to share it with you in just a moment.

If you enjoy this episode with Will, I'm sure you'll also enjoy the following:

Right now, one of the things many of us have had to let go of is that comfort of familiarity. People want to get back to “normal” life, even if the “normal” life before COVID was anything but life-giving. Attachment to the comfort of familiarity is hard to break, especially when we’re feeling the budge to change the direction of our life and do something different. What gets in the way of making that decision, of pulling the trigger and taking a risk? Fear? Inadequacy? Lack of preparation? In today’s conversation with former co-host of ABC’s “The View” and co-anchor of “Good Morning America,” Paula Faris, we’ll walk through the steps necessary to make a life-altering change. We’ll also talk about burnout, people-pleasing, the Enneagram, and so much more. How do you know if you should be doing something different with your life? That’s the question we’ll tackle today in my conversation with Paula Faris.

While we hear all about achieving our goals, I think the preeminent goal every one of us should embrace is the goal to finish well in life. And so in today’s conversation with Jo Saxton, we’ll unpack what it means to finish well in life, how fear grows in the dark and sabotages your “today,” and even how to unhook the reflex of self-promotion and self-protection from our pursuits and our relationships.

Today, we’re talking to men about men. Many men in culture today are in crisis. From every direction, they are presented with a deformed masculinity. One that sees women as conquests rather than partners. One that values success at work over success at home. One that hinders true and open friendships with other men who hold them up and hold them accountable. But we were made for more than this. It's time to rekindle the fire living inside of them and awaken them to the value of valiant, righteous manhood. Adding a lot of value to the conversation this week is New York Times bestselling author, Stephen Mansfield.
