314: Will Guidara on Trust, Loyalty, Hard Conversations, and Why Adversity is a Terrible Thing to Waste
Win Today with Christopher Cook
10/26/22 • 64 min
About a year ago, I watched a documentary on Netflix called Seven Days Out, and was captivated by one of the episodes featuring a restaurateur named Will Guidara. Well, this week, Will is here, and he joins me to talk about trust, loyalty, hard conversations, and why adversity is a terrible thing to waste. Will is the former co-owner of Eleven Madison Park in New York City, which received four stars from the New York Times, earned three Michelin stars, and was named the number-one restaurant in the world. Add to that Will is married to renowned pastry chef, Christina Tosi, also seen on Netflix's Chef's Table. This conversation was one of my favorites this year, so I'm excited to share it with you in just a moment.
If you enjoy this episode with Will, I'm sure you'll also enjoy the following:
- 310: Dharius Daniels on Emotional Intelligence, Living Outside Your Identity, and the Misguided Pursuit of “Your Best Self”
- 298: Jamie Winship on How Live Fearless in Your True Identity

While we hear all about achieving our goals, I think the preeminent goal every one of us should embrace is the goal to finish well in life. 187: How to Stay Emotionally Healthy as Your Pursue Your Dream and Step-by-Step Dream to Reality Planning (feat. Ryan Romeo)
Win Today with Christopher Cook
03/20/20 • 64 min
Today, we’re talking about the dreams and desires of your heart. The dreams in your heart are often birthed through what is in your hands today. Too many people get burned-out on their dreams and unfortunately fall off the deep end and flat-out quit. But there’s a better way. In this week’s conversation with Ryan Romeo, co-founder of the wildly successful Outcry Tour, you’ll learn how to stay emotionally healthy as you pursue your dream. In addition, we’re going to step into Ryan’s step-by-step playbook from taking your dream from your heart, to paper, to reality. Many of us are working from home and have more time on our hands. Maybe now is the time to slow-down, to shut down, and audit the dreams in your heart and begin to put plan to paper so that when we rise out of this crisis, you’ll have new-found hope to share with the world.

Win Today with Christopher Cook
03/27/20 • 70 min
Today’s conversation offers an invitation amidst this frenetic time in culture. And the invitation is to answer this question: “Are you a problem or are you a solution?” When it seems like days are piling atop one another and there’s nothing to do, who are you becoming? You see the point of designing our roadmap to wholeness doesn’t end with ourselves, but instead, aims your life at being a solutions-provider to a world desperate for answers to life’s daily challenges. And that’s the conversation I had with one of my closest friends, Drew Neal. Please lean-in to this conversation with an open ear and a ready heart. It could change…everything.

According to today’s guest, co-author of the massively successful book, “Every Man’s Battle,” Steve Arterburn, sexual temptation and sexual addiction is a fight to be won. Today, we’re taking a deep-dive into the subject of sexual addiction, and how to break-free from the brain-altering, relationship-crushing weight of this insidious trap. Win Today with Christopher Cook
03/18/20 • 51 min
In today’s conversation with Facebook Executive, Nona Jones, we’re talking all about success from the inside out, how to achieve success that carries across work and home life so that you’re not depleted in any one domain of your life, and even the difference between bad success and good success. Nona’s story, through the lens of her very difficult upbringing, is going to challenge you to audit the behaviors and beliefs that are holding you back from experiencing consistent success in your life. In fact, Nona said, "I've discovered that the only thing stronger than the power trauma has to change you is the power you reclaim when you acknowledge its effect on you.”

185: How to Thrive After Betrayal (feat. Phil Waldrep)

We’re talking with Phil Waldrep about the secondary repercussions of experienced betrayal in a relationship, how that experience can shape our identity, and also, steps to walk through to healing, including how to care for your body’s health through this process. This is a practical conversation that I believe is going to add a ton of value to your life.

406: Hannah Brencher on Why You Can't Manage What You Can't Measure, Why We've Swapped Availability for Accessibility, How to Break-Up Well, Mono-tasking Not Multitasking, Why We Are Voyeuristic, and Why the Issues of Our Hearts Aren't Pieces of Content
Win Today with Christopher Cook
09/18/24 • 108 min
This week, I'm excited to welcome back one of my closest friends, Hannah Brencher, to discuss why you can't manage what you can't measure and why we've swapped personal availability for being accessible all the time. We're also going to unpack the tactical side of breaking up well, why multitasking is inefficient, and why the private issues of our hearts are not pieces of content that must be published widely. This is, by far, not only the longest episode I've ever recorded, but I'd also like to suggest, one of the most vulnerable and thoughtful episodes. Hannah is a gift to all who know her, and if you're unfamiliar with her, I trust today's conversation will be a great introduction to an incredible person you're going to want to follow and learn from.
