Episode 117: Bees & Sawdust
10/23/24 • 58 min
Today on the podcast I am joined by Oliver and Tom of Bees & Sawdust.
I'll be chatting to the guys about their brilliant latest EP, 'TEETHING' which was released in May of this year. Produced by Tristus Boyd, the EP showcases the bands eclectic mix of sounds and unique blend of music and features such awesome songs like 'Idiot Party' and 'SPORTSDAYMASSACRE2024'.
On top of chatting about 'TEETHING', we'll be discussing how the band got's their name, practicing in roommates sitting room, missing artwork and the bands love for bands with typography based names.
If you want to catch Bees & Sawdust live, they will be playing tomorrow in the Grand Social supporting Peer Pleasure alongside pants on fire, which is set to be an absolutely incredible night.

Episode 116: Tokoloshe
On today's episode I will be chatting to indie alt folk artist, Tokoloshe!
I first met Tokoloshe in Sin E (adding to the ever extending list of guests on this podcast through that bar) and after his performance we spent the night having a lovely chat about how awesome Sepultura are and how he should come on the podcast. So it was fantastic to finally have him on, especially since we'll be chatting about his lovely latest single, 'Cosmic Holiday', which was released last week on October 7th.
The conversation proceeded to go down many avenues, including where the project gets it's name from, BRAT (of course), Aliens (which take a large feature in Tokoloshe's music), AI and it's future use in creative circles, Tool, Mastodon and the music in South Africa.
Tokoloshe is going to preforming plenty in the near future so be sure to catch them live wherever you can!

Episode 118: Joe Maxi
Today I have Mikey and Louis of the band Joe Maxi on the podcast!
In the episode I'll be chatting with lads about their brand new single, 'Butterfly', which was released yesterday and will have a pretty awesome music video accompanying it that is to be released on the 1st of November!
This single serves as the first song off the band's new EP, 'The Game', which will be released on the 22nd of November. The second single off the EP, 'The Game', will be released on the 8th of November.
Joe Maxi will also be playing on Halloween night in Bello Bar, Dublin, alongside other tremendous bands such as Blue Slate, Stratford Rise and Chest. Tickets are available for that now.
The lads were very kind to send me on the latest single, 'Butterfly', to include and close out this episode!
