I challenged all of us to pick one of the Gospels and read it through the month of July. I said I would do the same and post how the book affected me.

I chose Mark. No real reason other than it is usually not the Gospel I read for the big ticket items like Christmas and Easter. In this episode, I talk about chapters 5-8.

Jesus continues to perform miracles of compassion and teach the disciples what it means to follow him.

Continuing our July Christmas challenge, this week I read Mark Chapters 9 - 12. The two main points that I took away from the reading were, 1) power comes from complete faith and 2) humble service leads to a place of honor.
