It’s our year-end episode and we get in the season! We gather around the yule log, watch politicians involved in sex scandals, and witness two Israeli filmmakers change the face of B-Movie cinema in the ‘80s. Very festive!

First up, we explore this month’s new titles, and then we dive right into the wacky world of Cannon Films, a film studio that has contributed to our love of cult cinema, in Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films from 2014.Then we order up a bunch of escorts, while trying to further our political careers in Zipper starring Patrick Wilson from 2015. And last, we try to clean up an oil-spill with a very subdued Nicolas Cage (podcast favorite) as he tries to find meaning his life in The Runner, also from 2015.

Also, we talk about Rob Schneider’s poor taste in choosing scripts, Morgan Spurlock not being an actual documentarian, Adam Sandler’s netflix deal signaling the coming of the apocalypse, and a total lack of holiday-themed films (which neither of us are crying about, honestly). We’ll see you again in 2016!

On our 9th episode of the podcast we decide to dish on some thrills, chills & Javier Bardem’s clumsy drinking skills, in addition to our brief commentary on the films coming to your Netflix this month!

After we go through the November titles, we get involved in a hit-and-run with a district attorney in Reasonable Doubt from 2014. Then we try to stay awake all night so we don’t catch The Nightmare from 2015. And last we decide to take out some baddies with Sean Penn in the shoot-em-up thriller The Gunman also from 2015.

All of this plus inebriated high schoolers that watch SpongeBob SquarePants, chillin’ with Canadians in Halifax, Nicolas Cage keeps churning out the pap, un-funny comedians with sitcoms, and the glorious long-awaited return of Bob & David.

This is our Year-End Wrap-Up episode, so we start off the show talking about and exchanging lists of our top 3 favorite and top 3 worst movies that we’ve covered on the podcast so far.

Then we cover the films coming to your January Netflix queue and then burn ourselves very badly, blow ourselves up and get vengeance in Sam Raimi’s Darkman from 1990. Then we meet a whole bunch of siblings and try to save our collective father from bad guys in The Ridiculous 6, starring Adam Sandler, from 2015. And last we celebrate Christmas in January as we catch up with Bill Murray’s holiday blues and mope around a hotel with a host of celebrity cameos in A Very Murray Christmas, also from 2015.

All of this plus our first stoned movie experiences, Flintstones-style motorsports, unlikely roles for Denzel Washington, Home Improvement without a laugh track, and the educated guesses of why Tom Hanks would dress like Colonel Sanders.
