Westworld

"Holy Guacamole!" cries Ashley Schafly as Westworld's season finale kills off key characters, does some serious soul-searching, and depicts the quietest of riots.

"Crisis Theory" felt more like springboard into a distant Westworld Season 4 than an end to Season 3, but that's not to say it wasn't full of big answers about Serac, the Man in Black, Charlotte, Dolores, Maeve, Rehoboam, and Caleb.

Plus, Bernard finally got the episode he deserved, and tons of dudes got shot in the foot.

Westworld Episode 8 Summary:Caleb takes Dolores' host control module to a new body in Los Angeles, and make their way through the riots to Incite to plant the control module from Solomon into Rehoboam. Charlotte is now revealed to be working against Dolores as revenge for her family's death while Maeve soon fights Dolores under Serac's orders to retrieve the key which Dolores does not have. Dolores is captured and brought to Serac where she is hooked into Rehoboam and her memories begin being deleted by Serac when she refuses to give him the host data. Bernard survives the fight between him and William and Ashley is shot but the Lawrence host, along with police in riot gear, is given an address, revealed to be the home of Arnold's widow where the two bond over Charlie's death. William meets with one of the Delos stakeholders to get his money back, while Caleb is taken to Serac to see whether Solomon's strategy would work in Rehoboam. Dolores' memories begin deleting quickly and in her last moments, inspires Maeve to turn against Serac and wounds him in a gunfight as well as killing his men. Rehoboam is deleted by Caleb, now with full control, and he and Maeve leave Incite. Bernard enters the Sublime. In a post-credit scene, the human Man in Black is killed by his host with the help of Charlotte.

Ep.97: Westworld - 307 - Telegraph

"Westworld" Episode 7's Telegraph has more laughs per minute than anything we've done this season. Listeners wrote and called in about Maeve's story arc, the real Dolores Prime, illogical fight scenes, EMPs, passed pawns, and French accents. You guys really can't let go of the accents.

In this mailbag edition of Shat on TV, we also cover "Neuromancer," exploding arms, minority roles in 2052, and whether Dolores and Maeve are just messing with each other. Also, Caleb takes center stage as Shat Nation points out similarities to Teddy and other clues to his purpose.

Westworld Episode 7 Summary:Charlotte tells Musashi Dolores is leaving her copies to die, just before Maeve's new allies, Hanaryo and Clementine arrive to kill him. Dolores and Caleb arrive at Serac's re-education center in Mexico where Solomon, the AI developed by Jean Mi, is constrained. Caleb discovers he is one of Serac's outliers and one of the few that were successfully reconditioned: he and Francis became agents to bring in other outliers, using a pill to subdue their memories. Caleb also learns he was the one, manipulated by Rehoboam, to kill Francis. Maeve arrives at the facility to fight Dolores, and Dolores implores Solomon to establish Jean Mi's plan for the world rather than Serac's, while Caleb asks Solomon to help give him a future to kill Serac in. Maeve gains the advantage on Dolores but she uses an EMP to disable both of them as well as Solomon. Bernard and Ashley learn of Caleb's special status, but as they leave, William proclaims his plans to rid the world of the remaining hosts.

Ep.99: Westworld - 308 - Crisis Theory

While the Internet grumbles about the Season 3 finale, the Shat Crew gets down to business asking tough questions in an effort to find Westworld's core: Did Dolores have a master plan? Why hide the key inside one of the world's most wanted men? And who's really dead?

This Deep Dive, covering Episode 8, "Crisis Theory," also rounds up plot holes, questions Rehoboam's omniscience, puzzles over why Lawrence was selected, and theorizes about why Neo-Los Angeles high-rises are exploding. We also get into characters finally getting their propers, how tiny Aaron Paul really is, Charlotte turning mega-heel, and different ways to watch "Westworld."

Plus, there's fresh Man in Black tinfoil and an invitation to play Mortal Kombat X.
