Ep 35 Alexia Franco Pettersen | Hola Postpartum

Send us a text

Alexia Franco Pettersen is a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, lactation counselor, and owner of Hola Postpartum, a meal delivery service specifically for new families during the postpartum time.
As a culture here in the US, we don't do a great job of supporting new families - many partners have to go back to work within days of a birth, and we lack the traditions of really caring for new parents as they're healing and getting to know their new baby.

Alexia tells us about the inspiration behind Hola Postpartum, and how she reached to her father's side of the family and their traditional Mexican foods to support healing and lactation. We also talk about how postpartum doulas can support new families and what foods and nutrients can help support lactation.
Order from Hola Postpartum here.
Connect with Alexia as a doula and educator here.
