Jennifer Cleveland is a very accomplished, multi-faceted woman who also happens to be blind.
It was 2009 where her life changed unexpectedly; She became legally blind due to celiac disease. She was forced to reevaluate everything in her life, but it has not stopped her from living a full life.
Jennifer adjusted and is incredibly active; she teaches yoga, speaks, swims and takes tango dance lessons. We should all be a bit like her.

Douglas Laux
We, As Citizens: Because Conversation Matters
01/19/21 • 72 min
So, why did I invite Douglas Laux for a conversation? Because talking to a CIA case officer is not something that we knowingly do unless it is someone like Douglas Laux, who has written a book about his career. Like most of us, I’ve seen emotional reactions regarding the subject of the CIA. For quite some time, a few books and movies were my only knowledge of the Central Intelligence Agency. I wanted to have a conversation with a person who was once part of the agency.

Wendy Matthews is the US Director for Veganuary. Veganuary is a non-profit organization that encourages people worldwide to try vegan for January and beyond.
I had a great talk with Wendy about her experiences in becoming a vegan and what it was like making the change. We also talked about Veganuary and how they are more helpful than 'hard core' with trying veganism for the first or latest time.

With his Facebook show Disconnect to Connect Conversations and the 'One Word Conversations,' he brings a unique perspective to the conversations.
At the time of our conversation, he had recorded over 320 episodes. It's where he and his guest take one word and talk about that word. William tries not to lead the conversation but rather listen to his guests. They are entertaining, and they can also be found on YouTube.
Simon Jordan
We, As Citizens: Because Conversation Matters
01/19/21 • 42 min
Simon Jordan has accomplished much in his life. I wanted to talk to him about his environmental works.
Yet, to call him simply an environmentalist would be missing much of who he is. He exemplifies a deep-rooted understanding of following his purpose in life, illustrated through his gratitude practice and finding flow. We also talked about how he seemingly can achieve anything he sets his mind.

Marissa F. Cohen
We, As Citizens: Because Conversation Matters
03/09/21 • 42 min
Marissa F. Cohen is a best selling author, speaker and advocate. The roots of this success came as a 19-year-old outgoing, bubbly college freshman with a caring boyfriend; until he wasn't.
She tells me, "he started out so thoughtful and charming, I didn't really see the quick progression to abusive and manipulative and controlling. ...I didn't know that the things he was doing and saying were, were wrong because we never learned about it." Her recovery did not fully start until almost a year later when she finally let it all out to her close friend.
Since that time, she's become an advocate helping survivors let go and speak their truth and break their silence.
Steve Silverman
We, As Citizens: Because Conversation Matters
04/13/21 • 34 min
Steve Silverman looks for the good in life. While out for a run last year, he could not find the podcast he wanted to listen to. He was tired of hours-long dark genres that are popular, so he created his own to showcase finding the good. In our talk, we discuss that all outward appearances, he is a successful Hollywood writer, yet he admits that for every success he has had came one thousand failures. There have been costs for being fearless in his career.
