The conference focused on a variety of environmental, social justice and economic justice issues. The Friday evening kickoff featured the Dean of the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University, Dr. William Schlesinger introducing keynote speaker Mary Anne Hitt of Appalachian Voices at the Love Auditorium.
