On January 27th 1967, Command Pilot Gus Grissom, Senior Pilot Ed White, and Pilot Roger B. Chaffee tragically lost their lives when the Apollo Command and Service module that they were running rehearsal in caught fire. In the fifty years since the incident, visitors to the launch site – which was only used once in the wake of the fire – have reported eerie feelings and sightings of ghostly figures. The Dark Folklore of Efteling
“Don't call it the Dutch Disney.”
Buried in the woods in the south of the Netherlands is a theme park unlike any other. Built in 1952, Efteling takes most of its inspiration from local and national myths and legends. Unlike Disney, these tales haven't been polished and sanitised so the rides themselves tell stories that may shock, scare, or inspire. Collected here are three of those tales, each one more dastardly than the next. Sit back and enjoy... if you dare.
