About Maria

Maria Triana started out as a classically trained violist in her native Colombia. Until 2019 she worked at Sony Music Entertainment in New York – out of their Battery Studios facility – as a Mastering Engineer. There, she had the honour and opportunity to contribute her skills and expertise on many award winning recordings, from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Wayne Shorter and Bob Dylan as well as current releases by Donald Fagen, Sting and Britney Spears While at Sony, she contributed towards the testing of Sony’s new immersive 360RA technology and creating content by mixing and remixing released and unreleased material. Furthermore she developed an extensive knowledge of legacy formats such as analogue tape and metal discs. Being equally versatile in both the analog and digital domains, Maria has worked as a restoration and archival engineer for music collections of the Metropolitan Opera of NY, Jazz at Lincoln Center and Legacy. Now based in the Netherlands, Maria is available for mastering and re-mastering projects, both independent and major label. Since 2020 she is also a part-time lecturer for the Abbey Road Institute – Amsterdam campus.

About Paulina Fuentes

Paulina was born in Mexico City and began her musical education in choral ensembles, with courses in New York, and in 2001 she started her formal studies in singing, exploring different styles and techniques, from Bel Canto to contemporary music, navigating through jazz, gospel, bossa nova and folk. In 2006 she got her Bachelor degree in music and specialized in vocal studies.In 2012 she was awarded a scholarship from México’s Young Creators FONCA program in composition, after four years of original writing. In the same year she debuted as the vocalist for the band Pop Hessarg, with whom she recorded two albums and performed in Barcelona and Paris. “Dragon”, her first recording as a solo artist and produced by Iraida Noriega and arranged for a jazz quartet, was released in 2014. Three years from then, Paulina was ready to reveal her second official recording, titled “Invierno” (Winter) In this album we find “Canción de Trigo” with Kenny Werner as a special guest. Currently she's working on her third album "La Despedida" (The farewell) an EP that includes 4 original songs and 1 Cuban bolero. This time the arrangement was written for bassoon, clarinete, flute and guitar.

About Valerie Giglio:

For Boston-based vocalist and electronic producer Valerie Giglio, it's all about bringing back that vintage sound and style and pairing it with electronic dance music. Originally starting her solo career singing jazz standards, Italian language songs, and unique renditions of hits from the 40s through the 80s, she transitioned to the Electro Swing genre in 2021 and has released several CDs to date. Giglio has been singing professionally for over two decades. She is a Voting Member of The Recording Academy (Grammys®), attended Berklee College of Music, and reinvented herself as an electronic artist with a retro swing and jazz edge.
