Gold Medal Murderer: Dr Snook
Vintage Homicide: A true crime podcast
09/08/22 • 57 min
For someone with so many accolades, you would think that Dr. James Howard Snook would know better than to try and get away with murder. His victim, Theora Hix was no slouch herself, so it is no wonder that this medical school student and her 2-time gold medalist Veterinary employer would get together in 1929. What followed their affair is what we are talking about this week.

The OTHER Staircase murders
Vintage Homicide: A true crime podcast
08/05/22 • 61 min
By now we are aware of The Staircase mini series that just came out telling the story of Michael and Kathleen Peterson. But the stories that most people do not remember will be discussed this week. Bette Lucas was found dead at the foot of her stairs and her son and granddaughter were the only ones present to tell police about the tragic accident that caused her death, but was it an accident? The other story is the inspiration for the urban legend about the “The girl with the Green Ribbon” about the death of Elva Zona Hester Shue.
Also a correction, the Jinx was brought up, but that is the case that involves Robert Durst not Michael Peterson.

Ruby Wilde's collaboration with True Crime BnB
Vintage Homicide: A true crime podcast
05/15/24 • 59 min
In case you missed it, Ruby Wilde did a guest spot on True Crime BnB telling the tragic tale of Country Music Star Stringbean and his wife Estelle. As usual Ruby includes many other stories that intersect with this story. Keeping in par with True Crime BnB structure of telling a tragic story and then a palate cleanser of a survival story, Beth tells the story of Sherri Boone from Hanson, Massachusetts, and her mission to update laws so no one else suffers the way she did.
When you finish with this episode head on over to True Crime BnB on your favorite listening platform and catch up on their entire catalogue of episodes.
