Founder Series: Seducing Fashion's Mega Brands with Digital Fashion, Juan Carlos Martinez & AiiD
09/12/23 • 30 min
How do you seduce fashion's mega brands to work with you? In this episode Juan Carlos Martinez takes us on a journey on he's managed to do just that.
Leaving Familiarity Behind for Entrepreneurship
From dentistry school to fashion school [to the dismay of his father], Juan has taken risk after risk to follow his dreams of changing the fashion industry. Landing his dream job, he proved to himself, and his father, that he had a place in the fashion world, but that wasn’t enough. Juan saw a future in digital fashion and the power it could hold for designers and brands, and so he took another risk by quitting his day job and starting his own venture to bring digital fashion to the forefront of fashion.
Digital Fashion, Generative Design, and Fashion's Mega Brands
In 2015 nobody took Juan or digital fashion seriously, but little did they know that a worldwide pandemic in 2020 would make them need to implement this innovation and use Juan’s help to do so. Now, Juan works with some of the biggest mega brands in fashion including Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Levis, and Under Armour to name a few. In this episode we learn how Juan managed to seduce them, which he's now evolving into a generative design platform with AiiD.
