North Korea won the Under 20 Women’s World Cup for a third time last month, meaning they are now one of the most successful sides in the tournament’s history. So how has such a politically isolated country forged such a strong presence on the global stage?

Plus, Alex explains how their senior team has consistently maintained a top-ten FIFA ranking, and whether he can see them at the World Cup in Brazil in 2027. Join us!

Dotun, Andy and Nicky Bandini look for the reasons behind two European behemoths' recent inconsistencies as Real Madrid limp on in the Champions League and Bayern's contract troubles loom large.

Elsewhere, we wonder if Napoli can sustain a title tilt against both sides of Milan and round up some potential managerial moves come summer. Diego Simeone to Inter, anyone?

Upfront - A Women's Football Podcast - Where were ya Chelsea and we shine a light on endometriosis

Chloe, Rachel and Crystal Palace’s Leigh Nicol react to the return of the WSL! Leicester come back with a bang, but it took Chelsea 89 minutes to realise it was happening to be honest...

In the second half of the show, Leigh talks us through her ongoing experience of endometriosis, which Leah Williamson recently revealed almost prevented her from playing at the Euros. For Leigh, it’s not only jeopardising her playing career, it’s hampering her day-to-day life. We discuss the difficulties of diagnosis, the lack of awareness around the condition, and how it’s silently but profoundly damaging the lives of elite footballers.

You can find more information on endometriosis at Endometriosis UK.

A dramatic Conti Cup final and goodbye Steph Houghton

Upfront - A Women's Football Podcast

Everyone has gone full-blown Poirot after the Conti Cup final, so Chloe and Rachel get their monocles out and get to the bottom of all the drama between Emma Hayes and Jonas Eidevall!

Elsewhere, Rachel reflects on her memories of Steph Houghton after she announced her retirement. And, forty years on from the first ever women’s Euros final between England and Sweden, we speak to the Lionesses’ star striker that day – Pat Chapman – about her memories of the game and and her thoughts on this Friday’s clash in VERY different circumstances at Wembley!
