UnF It Up With Katie Goodman

Today I am joined by Iranian feminist comedian Negin Farsad, as we talk about feminism in comedy, racism, rationing cheesecake with immigrant parents, sex, boning (wait that’s the same thing), STD’s, more sex, and all the things you’d expect of muslim-related comedy. Just back from a comedy show tour of the south entitled, "The Muslims Are Coming!", Negin is a wunderkind of all things funny, feminist and Islamic. And generally combined.

Dan Savage, author of the internationally syndicated sex advice column, “Savage Love,” and creator with his husband Terry Miller of the “It Gets Better Campaign,” joins me to talk about the success of the campaign in supporting LGBT youth, the role of straight alliance friends, the fact that Obama is UnF’ing it up for LGBT's -- albeit slowly -- and a new definition for the word Romney.

I recently led a workshop in "applied improvisation" with this incredible woman. We co-facilitated a group using the tools of improv to knock people out of their boxes and gag their inner critics.
