Susan was born in Doolin and grew up in Gus O’Connor’s Pub, she learned the tin whistle and played with Micho Russell as a duet in the 1970s. We talk about her upbringing in Doolin, Micho Russell, his brothers and other local musicians from days gone by, learning the uilleann pipes as a young teenager, making people feel special in Doolin, music as a way of life, keeping the spirit alive and well and much, much more.
