If you’re worried about what others think, listen to this episode.
After seeing a video of two women (who run a podcast) making fun of aspiring creators for posting online, I decided it was time for me to talk about the topic myself. I started this podcast with nothing. I just quit my job, I didn’t have a huge online presence, and I had no idea how or if Trying Not to Care would work. I looked at other podcasters who already had a huge following and loyal listeners. In doing that, I almost allowed the comparison of my show to theirs, to stop me from pursuing my spot in the podcast community.
In today’s episode, I talk about not allowing what others are doing/thinking to steer you away from doing what you want, why it’s not embarrassing to put yourself out there and how to fake it until you make it. Everyone is a "faux-fluencer" before they become an influencer. You have to start somewhere.

Positive self talk is so important but it can only do so much when you don't believe the words you're saying. In today's episode I talk about why your affirmations aren't working and things you need to stop saying to yourself. The words you speak become the house you live in.

Here are some gentle reminders for those days that you can't get out of your head.
1. Time heals everything.
2. It's okay if not everyone likes you. You don't like everyone.
3. You've never had an original thought. Negative thinking and intrusive thoughts happen to so many people.
4. When one door closes, another door opens.
5. Small steps make big changes.
6. Them succeeding does not mean you're failing.
7. Nobody thinks about you as much as they think about themselves. So don't worrying what people think about you.

Trying Not to Care - IF YOU WANTED TO YOU WOULD

IF YOU WANTED TO YOU WOULD

We've all heard the quote, "If they wanted to, they would." You might have even used that quote to determine how someone feels about you. In today's episode, we're using this type of thinking and applying it to ourselves. If you wanted to do something, you would. If you wanted to chase your dreams, you would. If you wanted to leave that relationship, you would. If you wanted to move across the country, you would. Instead of making excuses for why things aren't working out for you, start asking yourself, "Am I doing everything that I can to make what I want work?"
