In this episode you will learn about the life and disappearance of Lonene Ray Raffle Rogers told through the voices of the sister, who carries the gift and the burden of being one of the only people left on earth who really knew her. The daughter who is relentless in her pursuit of truth and justice and the son who may know the person of interest in this case better than anyone.

It been 41 years, where is Lonene Ray Rogers and will justice ever be served?

Lonene was last seen by her husband Bud Rogers at 12:45 am on January 7, 1981. According to Bud, the couple argued and he went to sleep. At 2:00 am Bud woke up and discovered that Lonnie was not in bed next to him. He initially assumed that she was angry and had gone to sleep on the couch. When he realized that she wasn’t on the couch he concluded that she left him for another man.

At the time of her disappearance, Lonnie Ray Rogers was 29 years old, approximately 5ft 5 inches tall and weighed about 140 lbs. She had long sandy brown hair, freckles and gray eyes. It was reported that she may have been wearing a navy blue peacoat, blue jeans and high brown boots
In part two of The Life and Disappearance of Lonene Ray Rogers, Alison and Aaron will explain what their lives were like in the years following their mothers disappearance. We will also learn more about the initial and ongoing investigation into Lonnie’s case, Bud’s shocking criminal history, my visit to Saegertown and Alison’s quest to bring her mother home.

In Part 3 of The Life and Disappearance of Lonene Ray Rogers, you will hear Aaron describe the day he says his father tried to kill him. Glene and Alison will share how they discovered that Bud had a secret, a skeleton in his closet that no-one knew about ...not Lonnie, the Raffle family, the original detectives, child protective services or the current investigator. In an interview, taped in August, Alison will discuss what she has been doing over the past 18 months to bring her mother home.

True Crime P.I. - Part 4: Samuel Little - Prime Suspect

Over the course of four decades and across 19 states, the deadliest serial killer in US history left a trail of at least 93 victims. Although he was arrested several times and linked to sexual assaults, attempted murders and actual murders, he was for one reason or another repeatedly released to kill again. Samuel Little believed that the reason he was able to avoid a conviction for so many years was because he targeted women who were sex workers, runaways and drug addicts. Women, who he believed were low risk because they were less likely to be missed. On September 2, 2014, his luck ran out. He was finally convicted for the murders of 3 young women, in the late 80’s and sentenced to 3 consecutive life sentences. In October of 2019, the FBI named him the most prolific serial killer in US History. Just a little over a year later at 4:53 am on December 30, 2020, 80 year old, Samuel Little died in a California hospital.
Episode 4, tells Little's story and highlights the possible connection to Our Doe, NamUs Case - UP10724 - Cobb County, GA - May 10th, 1984. Retired Cobb County Homicide and Cold Case Detective, John Dawes, explains how he submitted crime scene photos, the reconstruction created by retired GBI Forensic Artist, Marla Lawson and a map for Little's review. Dana Poll and Detective Dawes provide insight into the mind of the most prolific serial killer in US History.

True Crime P.I. - Who Killed Sherri Lynn Swalley?

On Sunday, December 23, 1973, John Swalley, his 5 year son and 8 year old daughter, Sherri, left Columbus, Ohio and began their journey to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The park had just opened in 1971 and John thought this trip would be the perfect Christmas gift for his children. But even the most perfectly laid plans could not have prepared this family for the evil that awaited them.
It's been 50 years since Sherri was murdered during a pitstop in Atlanta, GA. Her case remains unsolved.
My wish this holiday season is for Sherri’s case to be solved and justice to be served. If you know anything about the 1973 murder of Sherri Lynn Swalley, please contact the Atlanta Police Department Homicide Unit at (404) 546-4235 or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at (404) 577-TIPS(8477)

Big thanks to Retired Homicide and Cold Case Detective, John Dawes for sharing his expertise in Cold Case Investigations.

Sandra disappeared from South Bend, Indiana on March 11, 1987 just 4 days shy of her 17th birthday. Sandra is described as an African American female with black hair and brown eyes who stood 5 foot 5 inches tall and weighed about 130 lbs. At the time of her disappearance, Sandra attended Washington High School.
The year prior to Sandra’s disappearance was a rough one, she witnessed the murder of a friend, received threats, testified at trial, became pregnant and was told by the father that he was planing to marry someone else. Did any of these events cause her disappearance. Authorities have never been able to answer this questions.

We all know people don’t just disappear, someone knows something, someone heard or saw something. If that someone is you, please contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-The-Lost or Michiana Crime Stoppers at 1-800-342-7867.
