Week 38, and here we are back at the BnB with stories to tell!
Bailey is in front with the case of Lee Rotatori, who was a dietitian about to embark on a new and exciting new chapter in her life. But, as in most of our stories, she never got the chance to enjoy it, because she was cut down in the prime of her life. And even though her killer was finally identified through familial DNA, that answered one question and raised a couple of new ones. This one is mysterious.
Beth brings the positive ending, but first you'd better be ready to get dragged through some thorns, because this story is a rough one. Laura Jastre and her friends were living dangerously deep in drug culture, but an unprovoked attack that killed two of her friends ended up being the jolt that Laura needed to take her own life back and try to help others do the same.
We had all kinds of tech excitement with this episode, but none of it was more distressing than Beth's alternating verb tenses in her story! Apologies to her former English teachers--she DOES know better than that!
Everyone, we appreciate your being here again this week, and as always we thank you for taking the time to listen. If you don't mind, please lock the front door before you sit down, and we'll tell you what we learned about these two cases and the people involved.
Welcome, Crime Family! Welcome. But really--please don't email Puss. (She can't read.)

Episode 37: Christy Giles / Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola and Lauren Huxley
Well, hello and welcome back to the True Crime BnB, where we are always 100% pet friendly....even when half of our bloopers consist of Bailey devising ways to murder the screaming demon. This episode had some operator error issues, and Beth had to record half of her story twice--so when we refer to 'the FIRST time we recorded this,' that's what we're talking about.
In fact, Beth is the bad guy this week and brings the enraging story of two vibrant, amazing young women who went out for a party in Los Angeles last year and never made it home. But it's not the usual story of being snatched off the street. These women, Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabroles-Arzola, went to an after-party where the host had disgraceful and heinous plans, along with a history of doing the same to other women over the years.
Bailey tells us about Lauren Huxley, an Australian woman who was caught up in absolute horror and barely survived it. But her strength, spirit, and determination to get her life back will lift your spirits!
So this one wore us out, and we imagine it will you, too. Grab a fluffy pillow to hug, pick your favorite bean-bag chair, and we'll tell you about three women who had big plans for their lives, and the monsters who interrupted them.
Thank you for stopping by!

BONUS EPISODE 38.5; Just One B; Jupiter Paulsen
Hello mid-week, our dear Crime Family. We have arrived on a Tuesday to bring you a bonus episode that will leave a chill in your bones.
Daisy Paulsen, known to everyone as Jupiter, was 14 years old, and doing everything she was supposed to do. But on a summer Friday morning, she happened across the wrong man who brutally attacked her and took her away from her family forever.
There are many variables in this story that will leave you wondering about the mental state of her killer, but what it comes down to is that a beautiful, amazing teenager lost everything just because she crossed paths with the wrong person.
This one is tough, and left us heartbroken. But Jupiter saved a lot of people after her passing, and she deserves to be remembered for the goodness of her heart.
Buckle in, our sweet friends, and take a moment to remember Jupiter Paulsen.
