It was a rough day for our neighbors up north, who, despite winning a gold medal in ski cross, suffered losses in both men's hockey and curling. I talk about the free skate / conclusion of the ladies' figure skating competition. Plus, I scope out the major events coming up, including Team USA's Gold Medal Game in curling (10:15pm Pacific) and two new events I barely understand (speed skating mass start, alpine skiing team event). Team USA's good times continue, much to the chagrin of Team Canada. We take the gold in women's ice hockey over the 4-time defending champions in an incredible shootout, and our men's curling team upsets the three-time defending gold medalists from up north, earning their own shot at gold. The USA also picks up a gold and three silvers in ski and snowboard action, including a silver for Mikaela Shiffrin in alpine combined. I talk about all of this, as well as the event coming up today, including the ladies' figure skating free skate and the men's hockey semifinals.
