We travel to Eleusis (or Elefsina), now an industrial suburb in Athens, along the Sacred Way to the home of the religious cult of Demeter. We take a peek into the underworld, the underground ritual hall, and the well of Demeter
Along the way, we learn why this cult brought famous historical figures from the Ancient World to Eleusis and even why pomegranates are important to Greek culture!
