Triad Of The Force: A Puerto Rican Star Wars+ Podcast

From the iconic kiss of Han Solo and Princess Leia, to Hera and Kanan, to Rey and Ben, Star Wars is filled with love and relationships in every era. This Valentine's Day week, we take a look at the relationships in the galaxy far, far away and analyze how healthy they all are! Spoiler alert: there's a lot of heartbreak in the galaxy! We also take a look at some other relationships in media to see commonalities and how relationships can be used as dynamics of empowerment and growth.

Although, as we say in Puerto Rico, "es mejor estar solo que mal acompañado (it's better to be alone than with bad company)", and The Book of Boba Fett beautifully illustrates it with everyone's favorite new character: Peli Motto. A queen who has taken time to work on herself, she reminds us that love is not only about the person we're with but about accepting and loving ourselves. This Valentine's Day and beyond we wish everyone love, surrounded by friends, and partners, but most of all ourselves. Join us in celebrating LOVE!

Triad of the Force is a channel featuring Nani, Gus, and Moe, three lifelong Puerto Rican friends who after years of discussing the media they love, have finally come together and created their show. Triad of the Force focuses their discussions on Star Wars, but their love for media spans everything from sci-fi, fantasy, CBMs, and beyond. From films to TV, from books to comic books, Triad of the Force looks at all media critically, from a Latine/x perspective. Joins us!

Peter Tingles Galore! (ft. Josie Meléndez) | SPIDER-MAN: No Way Home Review

Our unofficial fourth member of the Triad, Josie Meléndez from Film Posers joins us once again! Today we dive into those other nerd-whimsies we also claim to talk about, by taking a break from Star Wars and talking EVERYTHING about what has been the biggest movie in of the COVID era: SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME! So many things to discuss! From returning epic villains like Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin and Alfred Molina's Doc Ock, to teased Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield who make their triumphant returns!

This movie follows Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Loki in blowing the lid off of the multiverse and opening endless possibilities for storytelling. With so many familiar faces stepping through the multiverse, we discuss their function as fan service and how it can be done right when it serves the narratives purposes. This was such a fun movie and as usual with Josie, we had a great conversation. We can't wait to see what the future of the Spider-Man universe holds!
