Ashley and Liz squeak their way through the fascinating history of a very special cemetery and the literary minds buried there, Sleepy Hollow in Concord, MA.

The Monumental Bronze Company of Bridgeport, CT made affordable and highly customizable zinc cemetery markers from 1874-1914. These distinct silvery-blue gravemarkers are incredibly durable and many can be seen across America and Canada even today. We explore how these were marketed under the name "white bronze" as well as their popularity as Civil War memorials, as well as discussing issues with their preservation.
