December 29, 2024, Feast of Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries)
12/29/24 • 31 min
Friends of the Rosary,
Merry and Holy Christmas!
Today, December 29, the Sunday following Christmas Day, we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.
This celebration emphasizes the importance of family life following the role model and virtues of the holy family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.
With its challenges and joys, family life becomes a path to holiness as long as it is bonded in love and obedience to the Lord.
The Son of God became a member of a humble family. Jesus, the man-God, lives the family love of a father and a mother.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states,
“The Christian family is a communion of persons, a sign and image of the communion of the Father and the Son in the Holy Spirit. In the procreation and education of children it reflects the Father's work of creation. It is called to partake of the prayer and sacrifice of Christ. Daily prayer and the reading of the Word of God strengthen it in charity" (CCC 2205).
Today’s feast is especially important as parents and children face many threats to the family being truly Christian.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!

December 28, 2024, Feast of The Holy Innocents, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries)
Friends of the Rosary,
Merry and Holy Christmas!
Today, the Fourth Day of Christmas, the Church honors, through the Feast of Holy Innocents, Martyrs, the memory of small children of the neighborhood of Bethlehem put to death by the wicked King Herod.
Our Christmas joy is tempered today by a feeling of sadness.
These innocent victims bear witness to Christ, who was persecuted from the time of His birth by a world that would not receive Him.
In this mass murder of the children of Bethlehem, the first of many martyrs, we see the futile effort of the power of sin and death to destroy the light and Christ himself.
Ave Maria!

Friends of the Rosary,
Merry and Holy Christmas!
The family is a domestic church, a place where faith is nurtured, as the Catechism of the Catholic Church emphasizes.
Parents are primarily responsible for educating their children in faith, morality, and love.
As we celebrated the Feast of the Holy Family yesterday, the Christmas season is an opportunity to examine our family dynamics, foster deeper relationships, and incorporate more prayer and faith into our daily lives.
The Holy Family of Nazareth exemplified unconditional love and unity.
Their life together was marked by a deep commitment to one another, which we can strive to replicate in our families.
Each member had a unique role. Jesus, as the Son of God, showed us humility and obedience. Mary demonstrated profound faith and strength, while Joseph exemplified protective love and dedication.
The Holy Family prayed together, which is crucial for spiritual growth. Family prayer will strengthen bonds and create a shared spiritual foundation, whether through the Rosary, attending Mass together, or simply praying at home.
The Holy Family faced difficulties, including exile and uncertainty. Their resilience and faith in God remind us that challenges can be faced with grace and trust in divine providence.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
