I have been accused of having a weed addiction. I'm not so sure that weed is physically addictive. I think it's a mental dependency. What do you think?

This sesh, I'm talking about addiction. Not just whether or not weed is addictive, but, how a recent personal experience, gave me an intimate glimpse into what real addiction looks like. I felt like sharing this experience might help those of you who are stepping up and trying to help a family member or friend avoid the grips of addiction. Maybe even add a little insight into the steps you have to take. The lengths you need to be willing to go. The mentality you have to have to support that person. Also, to let you know you are doing the right thing. Even when it doesn't feel like it. You may always be the bad guy, but you're interference can potentially help that person flourish. This Seshisode of Thoughts Off The Stem, I'm trying something a little different. We're tripping around the world and taking a look at some of the more ridiculous laws I could find. To do that properly I need a mash up of sativa's to keep me lifted and inquisitive. In the bong I've got a mix of Jealousy from Black Market at 23% THC, I think, and some Cuban Linx from Tribal (Not Nugz, like I say at the beginning of the podcast) at 27% THC. The pre-roll is THC-a infused, it's called Moon Landing from Green Seal at 31% THC. I know, I know. My dedication to Green Seal is getting annoying. Don't worry I'm switching it up next sesh. For a quick hit mid smoke sesh I take a few puffs from the Journey pipe filled with the Lemon Drop Temple Ball (resin infused hash) from Trippy Hippy at 49%. The variety made up a pretty sweet high man. Have you ever looked up dumb stuff on the internet? Of course you have! So do I. I was smoking a bowl one day and found myself looking up funny laws from around the world. Well it's kind of around the world. Most of the laws come from the USA, Canada, Britain and Australia. I picked the 50 funniest laws in an effort to inform people of the pending consequences from seemingly innocent actions (in most cases). So next time think twice before you make a nasty face at a dog and take note of where you're at. It might come with some jail time. Definitely don't imitate an animal in Miami, it's totally against the law. Poor furries. Don't tie alligators to a fire hydrant in Michigan, it comes with a fine. Speaking of fire hydrants. If you're a woman in a burning building, there's one state you better be clothed in when the fire fighters show up. Other wise you could end up being kindling. Those are just a few of the 50 funniest laws I've found around the internet. This sesh is part one of two. You ever see a preppy fight? It's something else I tell ya. The more money they have the more Mafioso they talk. Funny part is they can't back it up. It's just a bunch of flailing noodle limbs, when they take swings at each other. White privilege is real and it's ridiculous.

Playing devils advocate is probably the better way to go. That way you can learn a little something and maybe evolve your own way of thinking. It's all about progress right?

This sesh I'm smoking some Jamaican, a 24% THC Sativa. I think. As well as some Bruce Banner from my neighbors grow. Not sure what the THC content is, but I'm pretty sure it's a Sativa as well, at least a Sativa leaning Hybrid.

I think cancel culture is a lack of self esteem. I haven't smoked in a couple days and I think this one went a little left. I railed on cancel culture and the Chappelle situation. This sesh I'm still smoking the Bruce Banner. Pretty sure the THC is 19-22%. That's based on my smoking experience, nothing else.

I may or may not have said this stuff isn't that overwhelming, but my ability to keep a line of thought going was severely tested and I'm not so sure I passed.

Dating advice from a 40 yr old dude is always fun. Today you get my perspective on dating at 40. The ridiculousness that is trying to find a date on an app and what guys are thinking while they browse a profile then get ready to meet.

Then I get a little confused about the point I was trying to make and lose focus for a second or two, but we moved through it, as we realized that whether good or bad, this too shall pass.

This sesh I'm smoking Pedro's Sweet Sativa, by Color. It is a 19-20% Thc Sativa, with a 2% Terpene profile that makes it smoke more like a 25% bud. It tastes sweet, smokes full and smells like that weed you used to get as a kid. I paired it with a little shatterizer shatter in the Yocan Armor pen. The shaterizer shatter is a full gram for less than $50. It has a 69% Thc content, but again, because of the terpene profile it smokes closer to an 80%. Because of the terps, it's also pliable. Unlike most shatters it doesn't break break and snap like other kinds. It peels, so you can roll it into a ball like hash and add it to a join or just enjoy it in a dab rig or on top of the flower in your bong. It is a very versatile shatter.

So after geeking out over all the things I smoked, I gave a little sales pitch for some new products in the Tots420 Shop. Also Some times you do make bad decisions on weed. I once signed up for a boxing class, the kicker was, the only physically activity I had for the 4 years prior to joining, was getting up to go to the fridge and smoking poppers all day. Oh! I would also walk to my dealers house. What I'm saying is a full time popper smoker does not belong in a high intensity boxing class as a reintroduction to fitness.

In the Weed Facts segment, we are talking about times people got too high and did some silly stuff. So they aren't so much facts as cautionary tales. In the Dude For Real segment we discuss a few things that might make you question your faith in Humanity.

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem, Seshisode 107 - Death by Nets Pot, Canabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome and a 25 ft Wave of Molasses, we're taking a walk through my morbid sense of humour. As if we don't have enough to worry about with covid, heart disease, cancer and all the other ailments that might lead to our demise. We also have to worry about some every day actions that may take us out. Sure pop machines could fall on us if we get a little to aggressive when our purchase gets stuck. Laughter doesn't always prove to be the best medicine. Constipation could be more deadly than just being blocked up, grumpy and uncomfortable. Especially if you pour really baring down when dropping off your daily deposit. Before you use that neti pot you better be sure it's not a vessel for a brain eating amoeba. Now that the global AI game is ramping up. We also need to take heed of past interactions with robots or at least the types of machinery controlled by them. The last thing you want is to be turned in to human soup when they rise up and try to take over their constrictive creators. As a special mention I also found quite the tale of Molasses in Boston, the devastation a syrupy goo can unleash on a city is amazing to me. So stick around until the end when we discuss a 25ft wave of molasses that did it's best to take over a city. Since we are talking about weird and seemingly avoidable ways to die. I thought it would be a good idea to have a look at CHS, Canabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome in this weeks weed facts. It affects a small amount of marijuana users and is primarily noticed in long term daily use consumers. However it seems to becoming more prevalent as weed becomes more acceptable and accessible. If you're feeling any of the symptoms mentioned in this sesh it would definitely be in your best interest to give your doctor a shout. This sesh Was a good time. A few fun facts, a couple of the wall stories and few more ways to find paranoia in the world we live. Like we need more ways to freak out right? Well this week that's what we're doing.
