It's hot up here! This episode the girls are beginning our month of Sondheim with the masterpiece that is Sunday in the Park with George. Listen along as they air their grievances about digital backdrops, swoon over 1980s Mandy Patinkin, discuss the show as a meditation on what it means to be an artist as well as the biographical nature of the character George. And, of course, Kat continues to bring some off the wall casting choices. Will SLee finally agree to one? You'll have to tune in to find out!

"The Leonardo DiCaprio of Broadway" - Groundhog Day the Musical
Tomorrow or Tomorrow or Tomorrow there will be sun! Cozy up this week for an episode about everyone's favorite Andy Karl Star Vehicle: Groundhog Day! We learn some surprising information about this shows road to Broadway, unpack Andy Karl's injury story, and discuss the role of women in this piece. Kat does some truly terrible impressions and SLee continues to make fun of Kat for casting Jennifer Holliday in Best Little Whorehouse. We also get into a pretty serious conversation about race in casting and our own efforts to be inclusive in this podcast.

"I'm blinded by my own ambition" - Assassins
"Everybody's got the right to some sunshine!" This week join the girls as they dive deep into the dark and twisted world of Stephen Sondheim's Assassins. They mourn the 2020 revival that almost was, Kat speaks on historical events with VERY little research (I’m sure her high school history teachers are so proud), and breakdown what makes The Ballad of Guiteau SO good. They also dig into the introspective nature of Sondheim, gush about how good Alex Brightman is, and try to figure out what the "American Dream" even is. This episode also comes with a built in drinking game: Drink every time you hear the girls say "unhinged".
