This Is Not Happening - An Album Of The Month Podcast

Episode 8 of This Is Not Happening finds one of the most hotly-anticipated electronic music albums of the last year: Bicep's Isles . Made mostly before lockdown, and held back as music came to terms with the pandemic, Isles comes after their monster self-titled debut in 2017. Guy is at the helm to ask if you can dance to an album with no dancefloors and whether genres matter.
In the second part of the show, we follow up covers with our favourite remixes, going right across the board with new and old, and finding out what makes a great remix. We chose:

Episode 7 of This Is Not Happening returns to new albums, from one of music's demi-gods: Paul McCartney. For January, we dive into the ex-Beatles' unexpected McCartney III. Made in lockdown, its the third in his series of completely solo projects, following 1980's McCartney II. So how will it match up to its two legendary predecessors? Lifetime Macca acolyte David is at the controls.
In the second part of the show, we'll also be submerging ourselves in a sea of covers, picking out one of our personal favourites from long, long lists and talking about why we chose it:

From being crowned BBC's 'Sound of 2020' and labelled 'the voice of a generation', the pressure on a debut album hasn't been this heavy in a long time. We dissect it to see it lived up to the expectation, with Nolan at the helm.
