Why did you start this show?
Monsterhearts 2 is a system that is designed to show the monstrous side of humans and the humanity in monsters. That duality is present in everyday life is an important distinction to make and understand. We started this show because some of the best fictional characters are morally ambiguous, and sometimes you end up rooting for the anti-hero. That plus teenage hormones plus monster powers makes for one hell of a story.
What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?
I hope people listen to this show and come away feeling invested in the lives of these characters. We want this story to feel so visceral and relatable that even though they are facing end-of-the-world-level threats, their everyday problems and emotional struggles are the kind that hook you and show you that you're not alone.
Which episode should someone start with?
This series is episodic and the story builds every single episode, crafting a complex world and story from the very first second. I recommend starting at the very beginning so you don't miss a moment of the mystery.
Which have been your favourite episodes so far?
My favorite episodes are when the soup group (our gang of "Soup-ernatural" teens) are at odds with each other and must find a way to work through that. What our cast of characters and what this show does so well is it shows you that even when people do not agree, they can still work together. And sometimes there is no "one" right path to fixing a problem.
Which episode are you most proud of?
Episode 16: I Can Hurt You, and I Will is one of those episodes that has dark twists and turns and the most heartbreaking of betrayals. it will leave you thinking of it for days afterward.
What is your vision for your show?
We want to share complex stories highlighting the humanity and monstrous side of everyone. We want to tell stories that are important and heart-wrenching. We want to show people that they're not alone.
What is your favourite other podcast that isn't yours?
Another path from Ghostlight Media
How did you come up with the name for your podcast?
In a story and world where everyone is hiding something and keeping things to themselves, it became glaringly obvious that we wanted to shine a light on those secrets. The ones that everyone tries to keep hidden and silent.

I am a podcaster with a love for audio dramas, actual plays, and complex stories that will grip my heart and never let go.
