David Kane is a freelance lighting director and programmer specializing in live performance television and high end commercials. Primarily programming for television shows, commercials, music videos, and feature films David also works on architectural, live event and themed environment projects. A proud member of IATSE Local 728, David is an active instructor in the Training Program, developing and teaching programming, advanced lighting protocols, networking and control classes. David works closely with ETC and is a Level 3 EOS console trainer. He is a graduate of Emerson College and currently lives in Los Angles with his wife Hilda, sons Calvin and Noah and faithful dog Sprocket.

Previously, he was a production manager for Aurora Productions in New York, whose projects included Frozen, Amelie, the 1st National Tour of Anastasia, and An Act of God. He also was part of the inaugural team at The Shed and has worked at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Roundabout Theatre Company, and the Public Theater. He holds a BFA from the University of Evansville and is proud to call the lights of Las Vegas home.
