Pop shit, hot qwoz! What do you get when you pit the star of Point Break, Sandra Bullock and a bus against super bomber man? You get a great film is what. Dennis Hopper plays an ear stabbing, mad man who's bombs cause Bob the bus driver and Jeff Daniels to die of natural causes (bombs use chemicals which are natural right?) In an evil scheme for... not enough money at all. Keanu plays the young cop who must stop him by driving a bus too fast and ignoring anyone who wants to get on or off, so basically, he has to be a bus driver. It's got thrills, it's got spills, it's got the worst opening credits sequence you'll ever see, as today the Wreckfast Club feels the need, the need for Speed!

Finally, a Star Wars film that doesn't shy away from the sexier side of war. To all those kids who watched the first trilogy and thought, "Sure, lightsabers are cool, but I really want to deep dive into the politics of the Star Wars universe. How would things like trade sanctions, planetary blockades, senate meetings and diplomatic negotiations work? I imagine exactly like they do on Earth but just on a space ship, but I'd love to see that played out over the course of two hours." Then this film's for you. It's got negotiations, it's got slaves, it's got Brian Blessed. It does also have pod racing which is sick but then it has Jar Jar Binks so, swings and roundabouts. Is it as bad as the people of the early naughties made out? Yes. Get ready to hear the Jedi's story as you've never heard it before, as this week, the Wreckfast Club presents, Star wars: Episode I - the Phantom Menace!
