One of the biggest mistakes people make when writing is they use buzzwords trending in their field. Buzzwords are popular words we use and abuse, and although there’s a reason they’ve become buzzwords, we need to stay away from them. Why? Because it telegraphs we are typical and are not using our own language. Even the people who agree with you might roll their eyes as they hear you use buzzwords in your field. Instead, use vivid descriptions that make your audience feels you understand them. A good description is worth a thousand buzzwords.
