The Wit & Wisdom of Dr. Will Keim - The Education of Character

The Education of Character

The Wit & Wisdom of Dr. Will Keim
This was my first book, written in 1990, and still remains one of my very favorite and timely in its teachings. The chapter I decide to record is on "Pain" and is a response to those who teach or preach a message that everything is great in life and all you have to do is to 'be happy'. Pain, and its potential to teach us important life lessons, is discussed with honesty and frankness. The words of Eleanor Roosevelt and Leo Buscaglia add great perspective to the discussion of growing through our pain toward healing and love.

Let Your Leadership Speak!

This book was written by twelve innovative thinkers who I believe present exciting and provocative ideas about leadership. My chapter focuses on 'Ethical Leadership' and teaches a brilliant four step ethical decision model that was created by my friend Dr. J. Wesley Robb at the University of Southern California. We define ethics, character, and values in this chapter and talk about our collective responsibility to make the world a better place. The importance of creating genuine and authentic human community is encouraged as the opportunity to create and empower the common good.

Life After College

The words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. inspire us to work toward justice,, peace, and righteousness. Listeners will be encouraged to live life with intent, purpose, and passion. Life as a progression of experiences and days...25,000 days...to be exact is the topic and the myth that life goes on forever is exploded and put to rest. We must all live each day as the precious gift it is. Students are encouraged not to take their life and its possibilities for granted.
