The Intersection of Creativity and Spirituality, with Jody Woodbridge
The Wilderness of Creativity
07/24/24 • 40 min
Welcome to the Summer Series of The Wilderness of Creativity.
Jody is a Reiki Teacher & Women’s Circle facilitator. She’s also a Writer, Author and Mum to two teenage boys. After 17 years of working for the same company in a heavily male-dominated industry, Jody faced a shocking redundancy. Realising she’d spent years conforming, people pleasing and dimming her light, she knew this was the universal break she needed. It was time to re-claim her identity, self-worth, purpose and joy. She now gently guides & empowers women to do the same through teaching Reiki, holding Women’s Circles and her signature Self-Care Mastery course.
Key discussion points:
• The importance of taking a break to rediscover your own joy, creativity, and passions, as a means of recharging and refocusing your energy.
• How to create space for balance and prioritise self-care to prevent burnout.
• Ways of embracing creativity as a powerful tool for personal growth, which will allow you to learn, experiment, and evolve as a person.
• Recognising the challenges that creative children face in the current education system, which may stifle their natural talents and inclinations.

The Intersection of Creativity and Technology, with Natalie Smithson
The Wilderness of Creativity
07/15/24 • 53 min
Welcome to the Summer Series of The Wilderness of Creativity - a platform for creatives to share their stories of survival. Earlier this month, I had the honour of talking to Natalie Smithson; a copywriter, creative and tech enthusiast, who is developing an immersive exhibition experience for anyone who needs to know: better days will come.
As we delve into Natalie's remarkable expedition (hee hee!) through the wilderness, we gain a profound understanding of her artistic intentions and approach; she is currently documenting her creative process in a series of blogs and 'writing like nobody is reading', and like she has never been pulled apart.
Natalie believes that creativity will continue to play a crucial role in harnessing our 'human-ness' within a digital age, and she discusses how she intends to embrace art and AI to inspire a more empathetic and compassionate world for her children and future generations to come.
Key discussion points:
- The importance of finding your way and creating a path that aligns with your values and passions.
- The power of immersive exhibition experiences in sparking creativity, connection, and community.
- The need to create a space to explore ideas, take risks, and challenge yourself.
