The WHY Matters

Ready for Adventure?

Welcome to 'The Why Matters Podcast,' where we explore life lessons, things we often take for granted, and everything in between, gathered from our decade-long full-time travel lifestyle. Each week, we'll delve deep into the 'why' behind the choices we humans make in life and the positive results that stem from a strong sense of purpose.

In this first episode, we share our story of overcoming fear to transition from a stationary life to a full-time travel lifestyle. Social media is often filled with misinformation, so stay vigilant and don't always trust it blindly. Understand that people will always have opinions about your decisions; it's up to you whether you listen to them or take the risk. So, go ahead and be true to yourself! Ensure you have a strong 'why' before taking the leap!

Podcast Premieres Wednesday, January 17th - The WHY Matters Podcast

Hi friends! Today is very exciting for Will and I as we are finally launching our podcast “The WHY Matters,” which we have been discussing and dreaming about for years. We have poured our heart and soul into this new endeavor, and we hope you love it as much as we have enjoyed producing it.
We left the US with our children ten years ago for a one-year adventure, and we are still at it, but with teenagers now. It was the best decision of our lives, and we want to share what we have learned along the way with all of you. Not just the extraordinary experiences and the travel hacks but, most importantly, the “why” that drives us to keep going. We hope you will dig deeper into “why” you do what you do and how you can enrich your lives by learning the “why” behind what others do.
In this episode, you will discover a bit about who we are, our backstory, the big “why” to our choice to live a full-time travel life, plus our mission with this podcast.
When I was a child and dreamed of what my adult life would be like, it was not even close to the life I live today. My mind is blown daily at how rich our lives are as individuals, as a family, and with those we engage with and befriend. We are happy to meet you and feel honored that you are taking the time to be part of our community here on “The WHY Matters” podcast. Let’s dig deep into our whys together!
Don’t be a dodo; you will know what this means when you listen to the podcast. Ditch the normal, and do you! And before you forget, follow us “The WHY Matters” for free on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. The first episode drops Wednesday, January 17th.

#5 - Why you should do those physical adventures before it’s too late. Our most dramatic decision yet. - The WHY Matters Podcast

Just go for it!
In this episode, we emphasize the importance of time. We went trekking this year, and it has been an eye-opener. People may not have the money or the capability to travel now, but know that we have the time and the agility to do it. As we get older, things may become different and harder to cope with. Will loves running, but when his knee developed problems, it took longer to heal than anticipated. What we are trying to advocate is 'Do it now!' because you are more capable now than in your future.
