Three Birmingham police officers are dead. Two men put on death row for their murders. One of the men, recently executed. The execution of Nathaniel Woods on March 6, 2020 has sparked huge controversy across the country as he was executed for a crime... he didn't commit. After many failed attempts of appeals and protests, unfair trials, inexperienced attorneys that "missed appeal deadlines", and what was a botched investigation from start to finish, the execution still moved forward. Was Woods life taken to serve justice or used as an example that the justice system knew they could get away with? Is this forgivable?
