The Truth Of The Matter is- Episode: 107 Intro leading into The Lord's Prayer

Continuing with the Gospel of Matthew series, we see that before Jesus teaches his disciples how to pray, He makes some suggestions on how to conduct yourself when it comes to praying. He makes a distinction between what we see and what we should do all in Matthew 6:5-8 ,which is the passage for today. Tune in to learn any additional information you might have overlooked and never considered. For those who struggle to pray, you might want to revisit episodes 19 and 68. The Truth Of The Matter is - Episode 109: Bible Study Reflection With the Bro.

It's still a fairly new segment, which was inspired by a weekly bible study I had with friends Jennifer and Erik. The background story is that we would usually take out an hour in the week to have a conversation on 2 or 3 chapters in a book of the bible of our choice. Today, I unpack what I spoke about with Erik in the book of 2 Corinthians 13:5. This time around, I bring up the importance of Hermeneutics and focus on three basic comprehensive principles: context, supportive text, and purpose. Since that was the focus today, we discussed verses that proceed verse 5 that would be verses 1-4 and just one verse that comes after 5 verse 6. Fair warning ⚠️ a lot of supportive text is mentioned, so you might want to take out a pad and pen or take notes from the phone and look at it later.
