It’s burger time. We made it! With the Saweetie x McDonald's promotion coming Aug 9 (on the heels of the BTS promotion), this episode is more relevant than ever.

Here in episode 3 (the center of this series), I finally dig into the actual McDonalds promotion, unpacking the constellation of projects, drops, and public events Travis Scott packed into the 28 days from Sept 4 to Oct 8, 2020. Through the burger promotion, I explore broader questions of what it means to "sell out" in modern American culture, and how fans generally react when major artists work with major brands.

Not quite as much discussion here of Kanye West, for those excited Donda fans...we return to Kanye for a bit next episode, to discuss his politics.
